Please help.. i like this Super tractor pulling. But dont understand the concept. I see the whole motion and it looks like a weight is moving forward. What happens when the weight is moving forward. Is it pushing the trailer with the weight into the ground or does it applies brakes. The weight thats moving forward is it controlled. Tino SA
The weight box is moved in relation to the distance and moves forward over a large skid plate directly behind the tractor. The further it moves the more weight is applied to that plate. The weight box is adjustable as to how fast it moves and how much weight it has in it. Some sleds have grouser bars or teeth that extend at the very end to dig into the ground and effectively stop the tractor.
it starts off as a balanced weight but as it travels forward on the sled it becomes unbalanced so the weight thats in there maginifies as it travels towards the rear axle of the tractor and thats where it will find your machine out big time
