That police officer was extremely unintelligent and inexperienced!. First of all, he should have placed his vehicle sideways blocking off the center of the road. Notifying traffic coming from both directions that something was going on and that they should slow down. Emergency lights on the opposite side of a four-lane road may not mean anything to motorists traveling in the opposite direction. Since he was an intelligent enough to do any of that, I will criticize the actions that he decided upon that night. He never should have walked toward the electrical lines whatsoever. All he did was play himself in danger! Then he was standing in front of his police cruiser with the headlights shining into oncoming traffic, aka the tractor trailer heading towards him, waving his safety vest at the oncoming tractor trailer. There is no way in hell that that tractor trailer coming towards him in the opposite direction could have seen him as he was standing in front of his own headlights which obstruct the view of the tractor-trailer driver. This is what we call an unintelligent add non commonsensical individual

Guy has a semi truck my guy, silence please. You cannot stop that truck on a dime, he was probably hitting the brakes there, weather he saw it or not he was NOT stopping in time.
