I actually played this song at my wedding while people were coming in, my dad taught me how to be a man, hunt, fish, and work hard. He is a awesome man, and I'll keep passin it on.
I had this song played at my wedding. Dad meant so much to me. We shared the love of the outdoors and many other things. When his cancer started turning for the worse he handed the land down to us kids. It is the same land he grew up on and farmed. He passed about a month ago. Thinking of him led me to searching for this song.
Everytime I hear this song I remember my first time gobbler hunting with my father and grandfather. Cant wait to give my future sons and daughters the experience that I got. PASS IT ON GENTS AND GALS!!!!!
Yessir. This song reminds me of my first Ole tom w grandaddy and dad. They are both gone now. My boy was born this summer and I will teach him everything those men taught me as a youngin 😊
Every time I hear this I think of my pawpaw. He basically was my dad he raised me. We was always hunting, fishing, or feeding the cows. But I know he is in better place now. I know he always is looking down on me while I'm hunting. I always hear his voice telling me to let the Doe's walk there is a buck coming. And there always is.
"It's the race that makes the Culture. Culture dose not growm nothingnes,it grows from substence.America grew from EuropenCulture, that grew from the substence of the Europen people." Thomas Rob. Great song!

@lightning3m1 I'm a Northern California hunter and consider myself a mighty fine outdoorsmen. I agree, it doesn't matter where you're from to be a great hunter, it's all about knowledge and skill.
Its a shame that Paul Ryan is not our VP along with Romney as our president, Ryan would have protected hunting with every sweat and tear he's got. Not Obama.....
