Leafs don't have to say no . Flyers aren't trading Centers . In fact they need another Center.

Lilegren fills no role on this team. He is not a 2 way player, he is not offensive, he is not defensive. Why not trade him?

They have timmins, who could fill a role that lilegren can't. Lilegren is a better player but brings very little to the team. Both he and timmins have to be protected. At least timmins plays physical, and makes plays at the ozone blueline. Both make ridiculous give aways and blown tires, but lilegren does it in his own zone as the last guy back. Timmins generally does it at the ozone blueline. I don't see either as top 6 if the leafs want to win some playoff rounds. Trade lilegren at the draft for ammunition at the trade deadline because the leafs have almost no trade deadline assets for the next 2 years

@@Joe937 York can play either or, did not mean strong suit. And even if he desires left, then 2nd line would work with the correct right side. I however have notice that off hand defenseman such as a lefty playing right is perfect for shots and puck moving

Vegas isn't giving up Petriangelo for one season of Marner.

Hanifin resigned with Vegas. Bertuzzi didn't do squat this season. I still see Debrusk going back to Boston. Doubt Pesce would want to sign with the Leafs.

he's not waving it for ANY trade, unless it comes with a huge extension at $11M+ / year and NO ONE IS GIVING HIM THAT.

He isn't lifting for any team, but Utah would be the best place for him. He doesn't care if he wins a cup and Utah is going to want to use a star name to grow their team

@@scottnewton9060 pure supposition on your part. Everyone cares but how much do you care and when do you care? 100% care when playing a soft team and your up by 3 in October. Or 70% care in the playoffs when there is no time or space and the physicality is ratcheted up to max. He doesn't care about winning yet, I think he will learn it but he needs a prick that will call him and the other core 5 out when they aren't playing like pros.

How many more playoffs do we need to see Marner fail before you realize he needs to go. He will waive his no move cause they will sit him and give him 0 ice time in a contract year while getting chewed out in the media and boo’d in the arena.

Maybe if the leafs took the regular season seriously they could "practice playoff hockey for 82 games and not have to figure it out when the series is almost over. The last 3 games of Boston series everyone played really hard, they just didn't know how to score without taking chances. Marner included, he kept trying the same regular season plays that stop working every year in February. Especially the pp... it's funny every year people act like it's a mystery why the leafs pp goes ice cold in March and April. They think plays that work in October are going to keep working. They need to watch some basketball, drive a line and dish to the open man. Keep it simple stupid.

Marner is top of that list

@@KP-05 Marner actually produces to the level he's paid....in the regular season. But you also don't get paid in the playoffs
