If that trade is available I would take it 100%. McBain will be MUCH better on TML and plays a VERY tough game and is a Toronto boy who is a solid 3rd line center we need.
What bugs me about your point of view is you only value points. McBain is a solid 3C that is big and sticks up for his teammates. He is a better fit for OUR team because we have enough soft talent. Leafs would add a draft pick to that deal. I would move Robertson in a heartbeat for McBain
He’s not a 30G scorer. He might be if the Leafs gave him every opportunity and were willing to lose games doing so. If a trade helps the Leafs get something that they can use now then they should probably do so. Kid’s had enough time to show what he can do and, apparently it isn’t what they need
I think some of us are overvaluing Robertson. This is a wonderful return for Robertson. I think the Leafs might have to do Robertson plus in order for Utah to trade a skill set like mcbain
A 8th overall pick that was highly regarded and his pre draft scouting report was his skills and ceiling were as high as Styles if not higher... they will get him extended for 4-6 years and at the excellent 4-6 years and $2.5M
What makes these guys think that NR is so good? What has he done to deserve the kind hype these two are giving him. The leafs need a 6’3 heavy winger with jam and not another small soft skill one. They’ve got an abundance of those and it translates to nothing come playoff time. Wake up boys, have you seen what’s gone on here for the last 8 years 🤷🏻♂️

If the leafs trade Robertson the only way Im doing it is if they add and end up wth a top 6 LWer guys id want them to target are Frank Vatrano Barbachev maybe coleman if they retain 50%
