This exact setup happened on ES today on the 12:40pm 5min candle. Big dump into a big level of support. No top wick. As soon as price hit the key level, it bounced 14pts and took out the liquidity of the top of the 5min candle with no wick. And then continued back down. I actually take this set up often.

11:14 You've just answered the question I had in mind. I trade Nasdaq NY Session, and I always wait for a second 5-minute candle to close outside the first one, there's no time to wait for a wig.

Could you explain what do you mean by your trade is based on 1hr and hence 15min having no wicks doesn’t matter? Do you mean like when price breaks through an hourly resistance/support or hourly candle opens etc?
