My assumption would be that even if Zion came back the Pelicans would have an unsuccessful season, thus his hype would die out pretty fast, leading to a buy opp. before next season. If I was making this trade, I'd be going for both Durant refractor, Curry, and 1 Zion. I'm sure you have other cards aside from the LBJ to trade as well, because Zion's equity is pretty loose and you could be filling the coffers with Ovi/Crosby/McDavid Young Guns :)
Mcdavid YG’s are crazy printed. They actually lowered 14-15 print runs in preparation for 15-16 because they knew how hyped mcdavid was. Mcdavid future watch, while much more expensive, would be the better investment imo.

My vote is … your nuts. You gave up someone that is arguably the goat and an all time scoring leader for someone that will be lucky if you can squeeze 50 games a season out of. His body just can’t handle the amount of torque it produces. His latest injury was a non contact injury which says a lot to me. Don’t get me wrong he’s a great player when he’s healthy, unfortunately he just can’t stay healthy. Flawless Zion diamond rc /20 copies sells cheaper than those garbage parallels? Don't understand the hype, there's so many parallels, panini's greedy overpriced on basic cards. If market continues to decline, prizm and other basic stuff will lose the most. Don't fall for all the glitter!
Who comes up with these card prices?! Those Zion prices are ridiculous considering this guy isn't even playing, stays hurt & can't stay in shape. This is a huge black eye for the hobby. Overpriced cards & products.
I probably wouldn’t have done That lebron refractor trade but I’m very low on Zion. I probably would have found more established players with a potential to win a ship.
Zions will never regain his market value . the only win card i see he got was the Curry which has great up side the Durant has stableized the Zions those 2 hurt
Glad that you balanced out the risk with the KD and Steph. The upside with Zion is not as to how he plays when he is healthy (if ever)...it is where he plays. If he gets moved to a bigger market and can stay somewhat healthy, his cards will take off again.

How do Zion rookies get back or Exceed their previous highs? Multiple chips, HOF career, MVPs? No. He simply needs to get back to where he was and/or go to a big market team that will spend to put pieces around him. This latest setback will only drive prices down more ( Panic sellers) . Jeff knows this, his deal will pay off HUGE.
People are trying too hard to find the next Jordan...in 10 years 99.9% of these cards will lose value and the market will favor the next batch of over hyped players.
I do understand a lot of the card hobby doesn’t translate to how well a players career is or what accolades they hold but the investment and theory that Zion is a great or will leave a mark on the game makes no sense. There are 20+ active players in the league id invest in before Zion. 20k - 40K cards in value for Zion makes zero sense.
I myself would never have made that trade. Lebron has already proved himself if he never got on the court again. I am like most people I think Zion is to likely to have a shorter career and definitely going to be subject to more injuries because of his weight. ( JUST MY OPINION. ) 😊😊😊
That guy with the Zions couldn’t wait to unload two duds on Geoff and the Durant was nice but the Curry paper was pretty much a throw in as that guy can buy another one in no time.
I'd probably have tried to make a deal for the Lamelo Kaboom for Zion, if he's really who you were interested in. Definitely made the better choice of the 2 trade options for Lebron though.

Particularly with the acquired of PSA company by Hedgefund Manager Steven Cohen Himself. He is one of the most corrupts human being in history. I'm sure he bends rules. That would have been a tough trade to make. No doubt Zion could become great but he could also be the next Shawn Kemp. I don't think I could have made that trade.

14:08 I would never, ever buy or trade for any Zion cards. This guys got hurt in high school and missed games. He got hurt in college and missed games. He got hurt in his rookie year and missed 48 games. Got hurt in his 2nd year and missed 11 games. He is hurt again this year and missed 31 games and might miss more games in December and January. And to think that he is only 21 and have not seen the full rigors of the NBA season. Imagine what will happen when he hits mid 20 or late 20s? I’m not even going to think what his injuries will be when he’s on his 30s. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Zion will come out as the BIGGEST BUST in the NBA history.

Lebron is solidified as one of the best ever, same with Curry & Durant. The one risk is Zion which I don’t know if he’ll perform at his highest this year. That wasn’t a bad trade at all. Both Curry & Durant will make the playoffs this year if they stay consistent thru the year.
Wow, where do we start. LBJ is guaranteed HOF. Zion isn't even close. If zion has 2 great years, and then ends his career with injury. He will be forgotten and at best a cautionary tale for modern card prices and investment. NEVER Trade a goat for gem for a player with less than 5 years in any sport unless your looking for quick flips. SC and Durant saved the value.

Got bit on the zion news same time you did. Bought a psa 10 base prizm for 270 at a show in New Jersey. On the way home I got the alert of the setback. Next day they drop to under 200. That's the game.
I have BGS high end card that I’m also thinking of sending off to PSA. The sub grades being the following 9.5 on edges, corner and surface. Center is 10. What’s the likelihood that I can receive a grade of 10 or should I just accept the BGS grade?? Thanks love ur vids!
