As long as there is a system to maintain scarcity of the digital item, it makes sense. CSGO skins are just "NFTs" non fungible tokens that are tokenized through Valves inventory system, I believe more games will adopt the ability to trade/resell your skins vs just buying another $70 skin pack that is worthless the second you purchase.
most people don't even hold real money now. just some numbers in a banking app so skins are not that different from even real currency, and the values of skins are tied down to other things as money often is.
no need to be a kid to understand that a 2004-2010 bmw e60 won't ever be worth 60k no matter the seats or flashy things it has. like it literally took me less than 2 minutes of googling to find a listing for a black 2008 e60 m5 with less than 60.000km on the odometer (which is nothing) for 28.500€ a few hours away from me (fyi there are listings for another e60 m5 with almost 300.000km on the odo, so 60.000km on the odo is really low). low mileage, top of the line model. all of that is from 2 minutes of googling, the first listing of a low mileage variant I find, and before haggling the price down. this is just pure clickbait lol. I'd understand 50k, sure, a bit of clickbait, but this is worth less than half of what they are saying. there's simply nothing that could double the price of that car, the example I gave already has top level trim with a v10 engine, and even then, I highly doubt that the car in the video has less than 100.000km on the odo, which would make it worth more like 24.000-25.000€.
@@joinz8544 Seeing this comment and now looking at the trade, I definitely see the Tweet being stretched. I don't think Ohne is at fault. We just took it at face value because it could have been multiple transactions or rare stickers, but I just did a quick add of the AWPs and they are around 22k alone, extra skins like a ruby stiletto are 2k, Arabesque 2k, etc. So it's closer to $30k than it is to $60k for sure, and if the car is exactly what you say it is, he got ripped.
I managed to buy a gaming PC with skins, the feeling was awesome, I still use it today, it has a R5 2600, GTX 1060 and 32GB ram and goes strong. I bought in 2018 and upgraded just the ram and HDD. But now I'm definitely going to sell more skins and buy a new gaming PC. I love skins but since they are just pixels I rather get some and sell later and just keep a few of them to keep building more and more.

people say E60 M5 could not be worth 60k and in most cases here in eastern europe it would not, but depends on individual car, like mileage, condition and so on, so FN M5 could be worth 60k
@@srdjagunjic only if you keep the maintenance of the car and not use it too much. You do understand maintenance costs money also, In order to sell that in a higher value, If that car became legendary and sought after by collectors which only happens to the 1% of any car models btw. That car needs to gain a lot of value way more than the total maintenance cost throughout the years. You don't want that to rust out also as it will lose value on its own if you don't take care of it same as using it a lot as the mileage damage the value also.
@@srdjagunjic y'all think its easy holding cars in hopes it gains a large amount of value. That's why most people hold digital assets or stocks to invest in. Rather than physical products to invest on its value. Digital assets has no maintenance cost.

stop trying to evaluate this car. 1) this is a kids streamer, so he could put any random price, he is not a trusted source. 2) we don't even know if the car is m5 or not. I don't even mention condition and tuning. If it's m5 with 30k km and slightly customized, it could cost a lot. This m5 is legendary with it's last NA V10 in m5 history.

Cars like this in russia are pretty damn expensive. So 60k for a low mile E60 is pretty correct^^ Here in Germany they cost way lass then that too, but russia is just different in everything
now the question is will he be able to maintain it...if i was selling skins for a car i would at least get something that isn't ridiculously high maintenance.
yeah but he gets to use it in real life, go around with it and use it to ease his life and potentially travel and go to vacations and everything with it instead of keeping it as pixels for years for perhaps another 3-4k profit.

@@andri2907 An E60 over here in a decent condition can easily be found for under 10k, i doubt ANY kind of maintenance costs would equate to 60k. But hey, those are just Russian car market prices, so i can understand the reasoning behind such ludicrious price.
You should take a look to a spanish youtuber named ByStaxx. He bought a lamborghini huracan selling all his inventory and he has a whole video showing the car (only mentions the sale, no actually shown in the video but you could watch his old videos and it is true)

You could get an F90 for under 60K€, an F10 with 100.000km for 27K€. And an E60 23K€. He probably just got completely ripped of and bought an E60 for 40K€ with atleast 200.000 KM because in russia kilometres are just a number...
