Please, do the math guys! Turning $5000 into $41400 (very random number, by the way) in a year means that you would have to achieve 728% return on capital. In order to accomplish this you would have to take on an extraordinarily high amount of risk. This is not impossible, but not very probable. You might as well buy lottery tickets, play roulette or bet on sports. More realistic (but still optimistic) scenario is 15-20% return on capital/year for experienced traders. This requires capital if you need to trade for living. If you account for 25% tax rate on capital gains you need at least $300,000 to $500,000 to make approximately $50,000 after tax. Just a more realistic and more sustainable scenario.
@@rockwelltradingservices Its one thing to think that, but what he said is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth! There's absolutely no way you can day trade for a living with a $25-30k account!
I’ve seen a couple of your videos now & i really like your strategy of when to sell to minimize risk, when to take profit, etc, and of course *how much* one would need to trade to make a living out of it. Not a bad idea, even for a side hustle. Thanks again!
Most of the videos that I have watched till now either they say you will make a lot of money in trading or you will lose it all but after watching your videos I understand how to make it work and how does it actually work. Thanks, mate. :)
You are an angel fallen from the sky my brother just subscribed to your channel very informative learn a lot from this video I thank you for that man don’t know why you don’t have more subs.
So Marcus could I open an M1 finance app or Robinhood app with 100 dollars just to practice until I get the 5000 dollars you talking about so I can open a. Brokerage account like fedelity so I can play with the big boys correct???? What your take on my strategy? I will be waiting for your response thank you.
Markus, moonshine boy. You are building castles in the air. I started with $ 800,000. My first year, I made $9600. Hardly enough to live on. It took me 9 years to make sufficient money, I make around 8-12% a year now. My average is about as much as a passive fund makes if kept in an S&P 500 index fund. After all that work, I am no better than that. So I may just give up trading. What is your account size? Are you making money off your books?
Hi caligula minus. I have recent updates about my trading account and current trading strategy if you are curious how I am doing with trading. Here is my latest live stream ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JrPEoJoofO0.html
I've got the necessary funds for the options trading but I don't know what exchange to use to practice trading. Could you let me know how to get the practice?
We suggest TD Ameritrade and their ThinkOrSwim (TOS) platform for practice. Here's a link to sign up for their "Paper Money" practice account. www.thinkorswim.com/t/pm-registration.html
This looks great. I am about to retire from the military and be a stay at home Dad. I am hoping to start trading stocks. I have made a fair amount over the last 5 years with the buy and hold. It's time to go to the next level, but I need more information.
My trades so far this year is 65% win but I am only trading small size. How did you build the confidence to trade bigger size? What was your break through ?
Bravo! As always very helpful. If you remember, the other day I mentioned a plan? Apparently I should have watched this video first!: ) I've been "practicing/ observing" the market for 20 years but only watching your RU-vid videos for a few weeks😅 Do you have a video on terminology? I was stopped from day trading cuz I didn't have a minimum of $25,000 in my account. These are the rules I was told. So I'm a little confused after watching your video... I have been selling and buying Bitcoin for a few years now and tried that approach with stocks but got smacked in the face with 3 trades a week max. rule.
Hi Kitch, I will make a video on this. The "25,000 rule" only applies when you are DAY TRADING stocks. So you have to open and close the trade in the same day. I personally prefer SWING TRADING, i.e. I'm holding a position for 5-25 days. This way, I'm not being flagged as a "pattern day trader", and you can trade an account smaller than $25,000. Does this help?
I’m always wary of people touting random numbers as specific possibilities- you can turn $5k into $41,400. Huh? Where did $41,400 come from? Sorry but the market is way too random for that. It’s just raising false hopes. I’m REALLY wary of anyone touting binary options, which is no different than going to Vegas playing roulette. The house always wins, not you.
Hi Bruce, you are a classic example of people who think and make trading complicated. I invite to attend one of our Bootcamps for you to understand further. Just visit bootcamp.rockwelltrading.com or check out how I trade at mytradingroutine.com.
@@rockwelltradingservices I don’t need a boot camp to know specific numbers are bullshit. And my trading is not at all complicated, but it’s also not gambling.
Hi save. It is an individual or firm that acts as an intermediary between an investor and a securities exchange. Because securities exchanges only accept orders from individuals or firms who are members of that exchange, individual traders and investors need the services of exchange members.

Hello Markus, I think you've made a big mistake with you math and thus the whole video is misleading. If you say $100 on a $5000 account per week, that's 2% a week. Even if you apply compounding weekly, you are only going to end up with $14,000 in one year (52 weeks). If you say you can turn $5000 to $41,000 in one year, that's slightly more than 800% per year, which means by the end of the second year you'll be having $ 320,000 (800% of $40,000), which I think is far fetched. I think you made a mistake by saying $41,000 instead of $14,000.
Hi Gutsy Trader, thanks for checking my math. And yes, you are right that if you would apply "fixed ratio" money management, then you would end up with $14,000 at the end of the year. I like to use the "fixed ratio money management" that Ryan Jones introduced in his book "The Trading Game", where you increase your position size during a win streak and decrease it during a losing streak. Using this money management approach, you would turn $5,000 into $41,000 within 1 year. That's the power of money management. Does this clarify the math?
@@rockwelltradingservices Hi Markus, thanks for replying. I think your answer itself is an indication you are wrong. If you say you increase your position size, it means you need to bring in more money apart from the initial $5000 and any profits that you make from that $5000. When you say you make $100 a week on $5000, that is 2% week. So keeping this percentage, the maximum compounding you can do it keep growing at 2% per week and keep compounding the profits you make. It is already understood that you will be using the maximum available money in the account starting from $5000. So when you say increase position size, it has to mean that you bring in more money that was not in the account when you started, which you didn't mention in the video. The other possible argument is your profit percentage increases as you grow profits, again which you didn't mention in the video. Either way the video is misguiding. If you can, I'd like to ask you to prove how you can grow a $5000 account to a $41,000 account in one year using the rate which you mentioned in the video which is 2% a week. ( $100 for a $5000 account in one week is 2% week). So can you please show us, how this $ 5000 can grow to a $41,000 in one year (52 weeks) with our adding more capital or increasing the profit percentage as you have not mentioned any of those in the video. Thanks.
Some guy wanted to recruit me on this binary option trading and he said i can i need to put 3000k in 7days i will get 31 000k but after watching this video i see this is not possible...
Markus: do you personally respond to the comments or do you have a team😜? Where do I have to send my email/letter/WhatsApp/inbox/or whatever to invite you to have a coffee (in February or March 2019) at the Rockwell Live Summit ☕️🌹?
Aurora Alfaro I do have a team, and I respond personally to these comments. If you want to contact me by email, send a message to markus.heitkoetter@rockwelltrading.com. Talk soon!
They’re not all liars. Warrior trader turns $500 into about $40!000 in 2 weeks and $500 into $100,000 in 45 days. He shows you live and his portfolios. Any thing’s possible! 😁
