TRADING IN MY ISF FOR A IS500?  

Wanted to share my opinions on the new IS500, again these are opinions so not all might agree!

The 0-60 numbers are really from the RCF and the GSF cars. I believe the IS500 is going to be quicker cuz it's lighter than those two cars.

I feel like this means that the F brand is going to be much more crazy and it's going to really compete with the other performance brand, if Lexus named it an ISF, people would complain that it didn't compete well with the liked of the M and AMG

Should be great. Dunno why all the ISF bro's on FB are complaining. Like this just means the F brand will actually compete and have higher power. Overall this is very positive positioning. The IS500 would be a perfect daily with cheaper brakes to service. Perfect car. The F models should now be strong than that. All in all very exciting!

It uses the 8 speed direct shift trans. 1st Gen ISF is 3800 lbs and the IS500 is 3850 lbs. A little heavier but like 50 more hp.

I'm interested in how the IS500 will drive. Sucks because the general public will be even more confused in the difference between F and F Sport products lol. Especially when they see the staggered exhaust that's the same as the RCF. Oh Lexus. Would've been nice to see a new ISF with a forced induction engine along side the IS 500 so people can be ohh I see what your doing.

IS500 F sport PERFORMANCE ! Not just F sport. This is key have to get the correct terms being said. The ISF is confirmed and coming that is why this IS500 was not called a ISF because the ISF is coming and it will be bigger and badder.

Hoping for it to, want to get my hands on this beauty used/ certified pre owned. Thank you Lexus.

other than brembo brakes and seats , what’s actually missing cause i doubt any of u guys are circuit racing and using those brakes anyway....

The IS500 F Sport on a set coilovers will be a show stopper.

It can run with the dodge, Chevy Ford muscle cars and not break a sweat, but to be brutally honest.. it’s nothing special.. they should have added more aero and even more aggressive styling.. they should have done something outside the box for 2022. I know it’s the engine that’s the best part, but it looks like all the other Lexus vehicles

Everything looks great about the is500.....except the rear trunk, hideous. I hope they make a spoiler to make the lines of the rear wider. The 2is is still the best looking of all generations.

New ISF needs to be 5.0 aspirated

I think the car is "ok" although putting an F motor in an F sport takes away from the"Fs" if someone gave me one I'd take it, but I wouldn't trade my F for an F sport

Maybe the new ISF will have the new TT4.0v8 that Lexus is developing, don't know how long we have to wait. but I'm glad they are making this is500. even though it's not a full-on F car, I think it will drive better than the old isf. at least 08-10 model. maybe better than base RCF which has a Frankenstein chassis and drive like a boat

Not sure how long you’ve owned your ISF & M3, but could you compare and contrast the maintenance requirements “or” cost of ownership? Basically, are the reputations for reliability legit, or are they exaggerated. Thanks

I have an ISF and cannot afford a new one. So...for the sake of my car's value...I hope they DO NOT release another ISF.

Dude the IS500 is almost 4,000 pounds - like 50 pounds less than the GSF. The GSF gets same mpg and 0-60 times. It’s going to flop.

I like it, I welcome it. But I'm waiting for the actual F variant. This just means that a really really fast F is coming. But for now. I'm buying a CT5V BLACKWING. OR A CHARGER HELLCAT REDEYE. For basically the same price for alittle higher. Then add 3k in mods and make an extra 200hp. Vs Lexus 20k+ for for supercharger kit and gain about the same. That's the only thing I hate about Lexus. No Performance shops no aftermarket part. Like all the other brands. We have 1 choice and thats it.

You won't be able to tune it plus doesn't have the track stuff the isf has..

You're not getting an ISF. This IS500 will be limited and probably only be sold for a few years, before they transition to EV's imo. And I predict this IS500 will start around 60k

we was thinking that they will finally after all those years something to compete with the new M3 and the RS4 like a V6 twin turbo or V8 super charger like you can spend 7k in the old IS-F and get the rr-racing super charged and get 750hp from the stock engine like there is a lot of potential in this engine but noo lexus don't want to us it like they did us so dirty it was a cheap come back in my opinion like they just took the same engine that they have and put it in the “is500” we were hoping that they will finally compete against BMW M3 with a TwinTurbo engine but no they just put Engine that they already use without even tuning it and 🎩a new car And another thing that makes me mad that they use the weirdest name ever F sport performance like what the fuck is even a spot performance there is only an f sport that is like a sport kit or the car or the F that is a fully different anima, But still, I'm happy that they bring it back, of course, it will not kill any M3 or RS4 anytime soon like it's the middle child like it always have been :3 like the old IS-F but still cool to know that there is a performance car that even after 10+ years it will still run like new ❤️

Love the video and love the car but the new is500 is a 4th generation not 3rd

Lexus IS500 fsport will be 60-70k

Not happy with how they took the F engine and put it in this car and put fsport on it basically ruining the real Fs imo.
