I have always been different than most people - Envy is not part of my being - I have mentors like Robb, VP, Corey, Imre, Ankit and others in trading and other mentors for life but - Everyone has gifts - I need to be thankful for my gifts I have and not envy of other people gifts - be wise, work hard, always learn and progress will be your friend - excellent podcast

I certainly fell into the shortcut trap. Not right away. "Right away" I played a long game putting a bit into something with real growth potential, but alas (1) I didn't have a lot to put in at the time since I was a grad student and (2) due to other things in my life I ended up not keeping up with putting a bit into it (though I did keep what I had invested in, and that has paid off in spades). Then in 2021 I came into an inheritance and this was the big opportunity to make a killing and _that_ is where I tried to take the shortcut but as a noob I didn't sell (overfetished my peak nominal portfolio value combined with a bunch of other factors you guys have talked about) and took the big downturn on the chin. At least I knew better than to spend 2022 chopping my portfolio up and that's where I decided not to give up though and to knuckle down and learn how to do it right and then through _that_ I eventually stumbled uncontrollably into finding this channel.
