Thank you so much for this podcast. I've listened twice already, as this topic pretty much accurately describes my trading life and attempted transition to being a "full-time trader" for the past two years. I haven't heard this truth discussed anywhere else within the "trading" media world. It was a reality check and a breath of fresh air listening to you guys discuss it here. Again, thank you.

Funny, I was going to comment that I read the title and thought I wouldn't get much from this episode, but there were some great tidbits in here and I'm glad I watched it anyways. I just finished a block of trades. When I backtested it, it was solidly green. This time, it was red when I executed it due to some subtleties. I got a little discouraged and it was very good to hear that I should just keep on powering through it. I know that's not new information but it was a good reminder at the right time.

Oh yes, and I forgot to mention that I am looking forward to next week's episode. I had considered persuing a CSC (Canadian Securities Certification) but wasn't really sure what sort of pathway I would take, if any. The idea of being an active trader appeals, but it's also nice to be able to do something casually. I'd hate to go after a 5 year designation and then not do anything with it. If I had to pick a financial career instead, I'd probably do something like a debt consolidation or fixed income bit

I wish could see the opportunities you speak of, a search for jobs as a trader here in UK brings up Maverick trading (which many can't afford to join) or companies asking for you to have just graduated a top university with a masters degree have experience in trading and understand a coding language. If you research these companies you'll find they've only been around for a couple of years and their company accounts show a very small balance sheet, so less job security than the local Mc Donald's.

I also hope to quit my job and trade full time when i check few boxes: pay all my debts, buy house, have account size 50k +, have reserve account same size, if i can make comfortably minimum 1k every week without stress, big losses and mistakes. I wonder if this is good enough. I live in Croatia where average pay is 1000 euro a month.

Pressure of being a man - Wife doesn't see the effort. Child doesn't see the effort. Everyone thinks you're lazy, even though your trading life makes it look so. Thank God I'm a man, wouldn't want to be otherwise. In the end, appreciated or not, you did your fulfilling role.
