I've been on disability all my life after being diagnosed with schizophrenia. Discovered VP and his channel out of boredom (despite being dead broke, money was never the motive). I said this in a previous video and VP agreed, when you treat trading/technical analysis as an ART FORM, and you look at your charts and you have fun trying to be precise to find the tightest deci-pip entries. Thank you to VP and Rob.

That episode must resonate with all traders, and for me one I will keep coming back to. I'm pretty well disaplined now as I have to be with my trades running for days at a time, but it's always closing that last trade out that I struggled with, so I was always guilty of closing it too late for the uncomfortable feeling of not having any running at all and get bored, however I'm much better at sitting on my hands now with a more relaxed patient mindset you guys have taught us, thanks again both.

Interesting discussion. I didn't know people even struggled with this. For me, the only purpose trading has ever served is to fund the life I want to live. So boredom is actually ideal. Because if I'm bored, that means I'm no longer stressed, anxious, confused, frustrated, etc. All the emotions that typify the trading experience. The excitement comes from the rest of your life that's now made possible by the money you make from trading. Trading should be boring.

Back in the day you had to walk up hill both ways and enter your trades via punchcards while literally watching literal Gomez Addams (from the TV show) at the ticker-tape machine being blasé about whether he was up or down on _Consolodated Fuzz_ InB4 "I spent time with W.D. Gann at bucket shops in the early days. Our indicators were the beads of sweat forming on the other guy's face and the twitch of their lip. We had to draw our charts by hand, all we had were paper, pencils, protractors, and point-and-figure diagrams."

Fantastic timing for this episode. It can be boring testing and trading. the most important thing to take from this journey is that we have opened the door to financial planning for the future. You would be a fool to not continue walking the path. I've been stuck on this multiple streams of income part I can't wait to hear your thoughts and ideas guys. I have a few of my own

I try not to trade meme markets or hot markets because I know very well that by the time I show interest, it's probably too late. That's why I never touched GME or NVDA, for example, even though it's made (and lost) a lot of people a lot of money. Though, I did get pissy and did a small revenge trade on gold last week and made a few bucks, so I suppose that statistically, charts are more likely to keep going in the same direction, rather than stopping or reversing. I don't think system jumping is bad per se; if you have a playbook for different market states (akin to how you'd trade different options strategies), then a hybrid approach would probably work to stay continuous profitable. Sort of the same reason you'd have different timeframes on trades (daily, short and long-term investments, etc). I agree on the consistency and simplicity. I know Robb mentioned elsewhere that they have a continous "high water level" metric on the accounts that needs to be reached every month, as well as avoiding a maximum drawdown of like 20%. I'm curious what drawdowns their traders have during a slog.
