The best explanation and instruction for the Slavic release I've encountered. There are more subtleties to this form than most realize.

Good explanation. It also can be done by pushing nock with a thumb to the right with khatra to counter paradox.

you are a great archer and really master using the Slavic Release technique. I always fail when using this technique. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the video, Marko. Is the Slavic release really not appropriate for hunting? I kind of understand that it is used for speed shooting, especially on horseback but what if you slow down the process of Slavic shooting/release during hunting?

The twist. I just started trying out slavic release, and the arrow really goes to the right a lot. Twist and Khatra. Will try.

Thank you for watching. I am glad if people could find something new in their own trainings from my videos. Little tips, some differend points of views...new questions for their coaches...something to improve themselfs. My purpose is just to support archers and to do some good for archery, no matter are you student or a coach. I have my own type of history in archery for many years, learned from many archers, studied it a lot, made many mistakes, tryed lot of different things and so on.. I kind of want to share those main things what i have personally learned as my little humble legacy to archers, and that way do some good and useful in my life. So thank you. It always feels good to hear some good feedback. Tell greetings to Trey too :) . Have a nice day!

U hold the Bow straight and not crooked, Or make no difference?
@Trophybow1
@Trophybow1 Год назад
Hi. I try to keep it straight or just slightly tilted. But it makes no big difference: On horseback, shooting forward requires little bit tilted bow and backshot is either straight or heavily tilted. ( To not hit the horse with lower limb).

What bow are you using? I have been looking for a traditional Asiatic bow or something similar. I'm wanting something without a shelf and very efficient fast bow. Also, great video and you were very easy to understand.

That is an excellent video. Thank you. For a long time I have worked on thumbdraw, but could never get accurate. Just in case this is helpful, I have recently reverted to shooting the arrow on the inside or left side of the bow. My accuracy has really improved. I use what is basically a slavic draw, my index finger steadies the arrow.. I might modify this further with some thumb pressure. Thanks again.

Can I ask what type of arrows you use? For me, the fletching of the arrow collides with where my index finger extends down the shaft depending on which side I nocked the arrow (for a standard 3 fletch arrow). This slows me down when attempting speed shooting because I have to make sure I nock the arrow from the correct direction so that my index finger does not collide with the fletching. I would like to find arrows like yours where the fletching does not come as far up to the end of the arrow, so I don't have to worry about this problem.
@Trophybow1
@Trophybow1 4 месяца назад
Hi. I use Gold tip carbon arrows and i make the fletching by my self to make sore all details are correct for my preferences. You can find my video (next in this video series) where i show how i usually make them. Thank you for watching. Have a nice day!

I am using mamluk draw which is the exact Slavic draw and I was teaching my kid, however when he released the arrow it is always far right, but everything was clear for me when you mention twisting the string. twisting the string for me it is an old habit coming from thumb draw, but my son just starts to learn bowing. now it is clear to me thanks I will subscribe.

Hello Marko, thanks for great video, I was waiting for it for some time. By the way, idea for next video, would be nice for me to share your experience with J-Bow LA. Its quite unique bow. I do have it myself in 36#. Compare to my other horsebows (little longer, with "standard" handle, example assyrian) im not sure if I understood the benefits. For my draw length 28-28.5" bow feels "stacky" with mediterranean and slavic realease. Whats your draw length with J-Bow LA? Greetings from beginner horseback archer from Slovakia.

Thank you for watching/commenting. It is good idea, but before making that kind of video, i would like to ask have you seen my video "Living Arrow vs J-Bow LA" ? In that video i tell quite a lot about the J-Bow anatomy. Here is the link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-81xG4ns_0.htmlsi=BXFu3_dfF-YuGkB8

Now I noticed from video that you have quite bigger brace height on bow than me. What's your brace height? I didn't change mine as Jarkko settled it up, around 15cm aligned on bow handle mark.
@Trophybow1
@Trophybow1 Год назад
@@lukascechovic Hi. I will measure mine for you exact, but i just have my own, tested by "touch" when shooting and measured with my fist+fingers 🤙. But fact is that the bowyer tells that minimum is 6"3/4 and max is 7"3/4. Bowyer's own suggestion is between 7" - 7"1/4... But i think it debends on your own feeling/technique/arrow weight/draw length.... Just try it, test it, feel it but keep it between 6 3/4 - 7 3/4.
