Really liked how you mentioned the difference between the longbow and the flatbow. Wished my American counterparts would start calling our "longbow" flatbows.
I wish you to be the guy to make a video much more in-depth, covering a lot more bows including those from the far East, to whatever information you can gather about the bows of early North America as well 😊 please consider..THANKS so much!
nice nice. It would be complete if you at least mention about Asiatic composite bows. Such as Korean or Turkish horse bows. They are also very interesting.
Great tutorial. I'm a bowyer from Vancouver island Canada and I deal mainly with yew wood for longbows and flatbows. At 2:55 you show a bow that I would've myself not display in this video unless you were trying to demonstrate what not to do. The ring growth is running on the side of the bow which I personally would steer away from. Was the bow made from hickory ? it looks like ash. anyway nothing personal, I just wondered.
That one was American ash and out of tiller and i used it to to show a bow that was to stiff in the centre, lots of people shot it actually as it was very light but broke after a few years. Agree with you comment and thanks fo taking an interest.

Mary rose bows were shorter than standard longbows….I made one recently to there standard…it’s not longer & people were shorter…. No disrespect though I’m clearly not as qualified to say…. Thanks for your video..
