Sometimes, People don't realize how closely intertwined Haiti and the DR are. No, they don't have the best history. But their cultures don't care. They've mixed together to create the beautiful ones we see today.
Lmao, multiple dances like Salsa, Samba, Bachata, Tango, Conga, and so on were made by African slave descendants. It's not them who copied anything from us. It's just that all of the Africans at that time were connected.
Not to knock your comment but A lot of Cubans are moving to Haiti for job opportunities/business opportunities and Vice versa. It's always been that way. Nothing new under the sun. Besides, you can't help Haitians going to the DR when they've been doing it for eons. It used to be one Ayiti at one time. One island. The divide and conquer has done a job on our people. Some things are just common sense.
