Egg custard tarts are popular in the UK too, here they are made with shortcrust pastry cases, are quite sweet & have loads of nutmeg on the top, they are yummy!
Roasted goose is fantastic, especially if you prefer the dark meat of a bird... I would vote it up for one of the great treats ever. My Ma made it one time for Christmas and it was simply delicious. ❤️❤️❤️✌️🤗🌻
I’ve been debating on whether to make a stop in Hong Kong when I go to Asia someday, but I think I’ve decided to pass. There are so many restaurants that seat total strangers with you, and my anxiety would be so high I couldn’t eat if they did that to me. OMG. Nope. NOPE.
@@tarabooartarmy3654 tbh not really... I've lived in hk for 14 years (my whole life lol) and I've rarely had to sit with other strangers unless e.g. the mcdonalds is packed or it's those tiny local restaurants. I'm personally not affected by it since I've grown up with it but I can see why others would be put off. The majority of restaurants you go to wouldn't make you sit with other strangers, esp the restaurants which aren't "tourist destinations" (basically very packed like the ones shown in this video and many others). Plenty of good street food and meals that aren't labelled with michelin guide to go to where you won't have to sit with others. I do recommend for you to visit at least once in your life haha, but not with the current pandemic and political situation.
Chonny: "incredible, absolutely incredible" Also Chonny: "8.5/10" On a side note, does anyone know if his ranking system takes into account how much money it costs?
iamnotadingleberry I watched most of his vlog and usually he makes a rough estimate without considering the price. There a few times where the ratings were inconsistent.
Is there a paypal or patreon or something you guys have set up? I will def buy (more) merch, but sometimes I just want to send you guys money! The food travels must never end
Timmycakes88 Thank you for the kind gesture Timmy but we wouldn’t accept donations unless we really had to! Thanks for supporting us and getting our merch, that’s more than enough! Have a greaaaat day :)
Loving your Hong Kong videos guys, glad you had some fun there after the HQ debarcle. Gotta say that when Chonny does his "ooooooooooahhh" noises (like at 5:17)-- i've seen it in a few vids now and it just always makes me giggle. You have great comedic timing. :3
2:00 correction, it is not a "train" card, it is a multi use card that can be used for any type of public transport, at a lot of restaurants and at convenience stores.
I loved this vlog on Hong Kong ..You guys are amazing I love everywhere you travel to and everything you eat ..The goose and pork looks so divine ..One of the best channels ever ...xx💗🤗❤️
That pineapple bun with a slab of butter in it, it's supposed to be hot and cold at the same, as its name indicates 冰火菠蘿油 literally ice and fire pineapple (-shaped bun) with butter. It may resemble bread n butter, but it's actually more like an ice cream sandwich, so make sure you eat it right away before the butter melts. Also, the pineapple bun has nothing to do with pineapples ingredient-wise, but the crumbly crust resembles the pineapple rind. It's very similar to the melonpan (melon pão = melon bun) in Japan.
john next time try not spreading the ice-cold butter in the warm bun, just eat it as it is. it brings the pineapple bun experience to a whole another level! it makes the butter taste like ice cream honestly, a popular way to have it in hk!💛
The proper way to eat the warm pineapple bun with thick butter is to eat it before the butter melts so that u get warm and cold feeling at the same time while chewing.
One of the RU-vid vloggers I trust! Chonny and Dalena definitely have the Aussie taste therefore, your food ratings I consider accurate~ Hello from Melby!
Chonny you have grown up and evolved so much from your 1st funny videos , glad your doing well ! Your girl she's a keeper you better not lose her . I remember when she was 1st in your vietnamese gang video .. btw is she viet too ?
Will you guys be going back to Japan for 2020 Olympics, or too crowded? Would love to see a travel blog of all the temporary changes they put up. Street parades, unique Olympics-inspired food/etc.
Makes me so sad. Half these shops are terrible. I’m living in HK and my wife is from melbourne. The local palate is way better than what you’re tasting. We want to take you to a proper HK restaurant worth your visit. Just say the word.
Roast Goose is so bomb!!! Why don't we have it in Australia?! I hope you guys went to Yat Lok as well when you were there. We went to both and preferred Yat Lok.
the butter aint supposed to melt. youre supposed to eat it while its warm and the butter still cold and in one piece. its the different sensation of cold and warm combined that makes this amazinggggggggggg
Kam’s roast goose! Tried the first time, revisited twice more, so good! Yeah I agree the char siew is better, it melts in your mouth. Y’all didn’t try the pigeon meat, it’s good too, got introduced to it when they ran out of char siew. Keep eating, keep exploring guys!!
Their char siu isn't really good, Mott32 has a much better one. Should've ordered the Suckling Pig (which they recommended on their menu), since that's actually excellent.
