This is by far one of my favorite locations you've visited. How amazing to stay in a place with history literally surrounding you - and in such a beautiful place. This goes on my list of places to visit if I ever have the privilege of visiting Japan!
My favorite so far!! Absolutely in love 🥰! It’s historic, it’s authentic, the view is beyond beautiful, you are immersed in nature, the waterfall!!! the river!!!! the rooms are huge (normally I don’t care about the size of rooms when I travel, since- who cares? I am there to explore outside of the room, but these rooms are impressive! ), amazing staff, the food! it’s got everything and I mean everything and than some- this place is a MUST! 😮!!! 10/10
I want to see the Spirited Away hotel! 😍 It is the first Ghibli movie I ever saw and I fell in love with it instantly and after all these years it's still my favorite. ❤
Oh my! This was beautiful!!! Thanks for taking us along!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Btw, the Spirited Away ryokan you mentioned at the train station, was that the same one you went to 2 months ago?
Yes, that's right! The ryokan that inspired Spirited Away is the "Sekizenkan" we visited before☺️ While you do need to go back to the station, we also recommend staying there for consecutive nights. Thank you so much🥰🥰🥰✨
I bet in the times long ago, having such an experience in an onsen would cost 10 times less, although i realize you've been treated to extreme luxury amenities and a superlative dinner and breakfast while long ago it would have been very simple and common food, but still..
I love all your videos because I learn something new from your culture, it's divine. What makes your videos even more special is the fact that your husband seems more than happy to come along and share most of these amazing experiences along with you which is rare nowadays as technology takes over our lives. God bless you, your husband and your marriage. Can't wait for your next video!😌
I know why the number 4 is unlucky. The Japanese word for 4 is "shi", but for some "shi" also means "death". In some cases, people have used the alternate word "yon" for 4 to avoid that comparison. At least...I think that's the reason.
It was so nice, loved this onsen, looks so peaceful, really impressive arquitecture, can feel this ancient atmosphere, its like we are in a movie❤❤❤thanks for share
Oh this was just absolutely incredible ❤ So very beautiful, so much wonderful history brought to life, like a living museum and so incredibly restful. An absolute gem of a place and your video is just perfection 😊 Absolutely amazing ❤❤❤
It is nicer than the luxury hotel in Tokyo in the previous video. I'm watching it for the 3rd time. Excellent hotel. A minimum of items, simplicity, nature and tranquility. I am a Turkish citizen, but I would love to come there. You are also incredibly kind people
great! I had no idea that there was such an inn in Gunma Prefecture that was an old folk house from the Edo period with a thatched roof that was relocated from the Kanto and Tohoku regions. I'd like to stay here since it's close to Kusatsu Onsen and Karuizawa resort area. Enjoy autumn leaves in the coming fall and snow in the winter.
Thank you for showing us everything. Lacking establishments like this in Europe (that is, European thermal baths being very much different), I continue living vicariously through your onsen and ryokan videos. One question: do you drink the overflowing sake out of the box, as well, or would that be rude?
Thank you for watching🥰✨ Yes, it's perfectly fine to drink the sake that's been poured into the masu, even the part that overflows. Some people drink directly from the masu, while others prefer to pour it into a glass. Drinking from the masu can give the sake a slight wooden flavor, providing a unique tasting experience that some people really enjoy🍶
I love this one but will they cater to Americans. I don't speak Japanese. I'm planning my trip on other episodes you have shown. I just want to make sure we can go there and be able to communicate with the staff and other guests. Love the channel. 😊
Thank you for your comment! We're so happy to hear that 😊 In many Japanese tourist spots and accommodations, there are often staff members who can speak a bit of English, and of course, they welcome international guests. At this inn, the lady who served us at the restaurant speaks English fluently. Even if the staff can't speak perfect English, they typically use translation apps and gestures to assist guests. Downloading Google Translate might be handy! We hope your trip is wonderful!✨
A chest corridor... I'll travel far to glide through one of those 😁 Never seen an establishment quite like this one, looks great, thanks for the tour. (I'd have liked to hear a review of the onsen water there, tough... すみません🙇♂) ѦѦ

That place looks beautiful, just beautiful and I really loved the fact is the onsen looks stunningly incredible with a breathtaking waterfall. Excellent video 😊
Even when you eat, you sit in a private room or separated by a screen. But in the bathroom you are showering with others next to each other. Interesting, isn't it?
I love your videos and usually comment on how beautiful they are, but this time I want to mention how respectful you both are to every place you visit. You are such wonderful examples of how we should all act as guests anywhere. Also, I agree with the Turkish citizen, "you are incredibly kind people". ❣
Tout est parfait l endroit l architecture des bâtiments les intérieurs d abitude j ai toujours un petit bémol à dire mais la rien cet endroit est une masterclass j adore totalement validations totale

Thank you! Snowfall in Gunma Prefecture can vary by area, but it generally starts snowing in December. In this onsen town's area, late December through mid-March is the most likely time for snow accumulation⛄ Enjoy your trip to Japan! 😊
Yes, it's absolutely enchanting✨ We hope you enjoy exploring the Spirited Away-themed ryokan through our video. Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rvXpCzvm-4w.html
