I’m Cambodian and know the authenticity of Khmer culture these are Apsaras performances my siblings and I also practice and performed this dance Apsaras since I was 9 years of age. The language are Cambodian as I speak fluently in Kmers the first few word articulate start from “ throng Sgnoun ! “ is in Khmer Sanskrits the song start with danl sgnoun ! Translate as until my darling then the music just skip its part . The manual gestures sign has its significative meanings . Thank you for promoting Cambodia culture send all my appreciations !🙏🙏🎶🥰🇰🇭🇰🇭
I had a few Khmer friends growing up. I got curious and fell down a southeastern Asian traditional dance hole and I absolutely love it. The dances are so fluid, hypnotic and tell a story. I’m not sure what the story is but it’s gorgeous!
KHOM is KHMER use by Thai language calling the ancient Khmer as KHOM. This Is Khmer dance Apsara I can understand clearly that is in Khmer language using in Khmer Sanskrit ! The lower outfit of Apsara dancer can be seen its image inscription on the stone engraving all along the mural of Angkor Watt.
I adore Khmer Angkorian Apsaras dances. Khmer dance are legit we dances with heart and soul thats why their demeanors are soft and gentle like a breeze .Angkor Wat its the strong testimonies of Apsaras imaging inscriptions engraving upon the stones of every walls from Angkor Wat Temple.
I’m Kun Khmer living abroad my siblings and I performe this Khmer Apsaras dances since I was 8 years old , every morning we have to massage our hands and fingers, elbow lift and waist lift up with head firmly adjust with the neck stretches forward and bended it etc. to make it flexible until it’s bend half of it. The music it’s Khmer ancient music and Khmer vocal song in Sanskrit word I’ll can translate all but the parol was cutting short at the end. The word KHOM in ancient history meant KHMER ethnicity . Or Cambodian . The parol it’s in Khmer language use mostly by the royal highness grammar and not a bias language that we use in a daily basis . 🙏🥰🇰🇭🇰🇭🇺🇸🌎🙏
Khmer Empire was prosperious and powerful empire that expanded half to South East Asia mainland. Khmer Empire was a massive territories that’s cover the whole Cambodia , Laos , Thai , Vietnam in modern day. Since ancient histories Khmer Empire has been raided and sack by neighborings on a multiple occasion that cause the downfall of Khmer Empire in 1431. Khmer Empire outlying provinces were lost in size and diminished in dimension on a massive scale. That’s support the strong evidences that Khmer Empire has heavily influenced in Art Martial , classic dances, culture , clothing , music toward other neighbors countries .
@@JamesHarperUS Thanks!! so kind of you!! I am planning to make a video premiere here on youtube on 10th August! and you are invited of course. I will write your name on the credits of the video description. I hope you like ethnic/psytrance :D
Very interesting! Thanks for commenting. (English translation from Google Translate: "There are similarities with traditional arts in Indonesia, especially Central Java.")
Thank you, Mey Nee. It is surprising that this is in Thai. Please excuse my ignorance in recognizing Thai vs. Khmer! I would expect the National Museum of Cambodia to be playing music in Khmer. Strange!
Here we go again. What a stupid thing to say . Khom? That’s some bullshit Thai say. Differentiating the Khom and the Khmer allows, for the Thais that do it, the ability to prop themselves higher than their neighbors by stripping them of prestigious parts of their history. Go do some research outside of the Thai education system. The world knows the truth and slowly exposing Thais fake bullshit history .
@@JamesHarperUS Hey James, please do some research about Khmer empire which dominated south east Asia. It predate the migrating Tai that were chased out by the mongols and settled in Khmer lands much of their culture were influence by Khmers but they don’t acknowledge it so they spread lies to their people and it still going on today. Don’t listen to Thai history , there’s evidence to support our history and culture. Please do some research .
