Amazing, every time she calls Nami, it sounds like Swamy (main character in Malgudi days). Nami looks so innocent. God bless this family. G'day to everyone involved in the presentations. Thank you for evoking wonderful memories of my late mother cooking many of the dishes when we we little, growing up in Malaysia in the 1950s and 1960s. Traditional wood fire stoves used to cook Traditional Kerala dishes. When young we were not fond of many of the ingredients- onions, brinjals, tomatoes etc. Now, in my 70s living in Melbourne, I love those old world vegetable, meat and seafood dishes and fortunately can obtain the necessary ingredients here. Thanks for the creative manner of filming and subtle introduction to an old world charm.

I am a keralite settled out. We habitual ly have a total, ullathu and a gravy dish that is Sambaar or curry plus a meat dish or fish. All this from scratch. Don't miss Nami's mum peeling and clean ing loads of shallots and curry leaves chopping grinding etc..all hard work that we enjoy towards making the balance in the meal.

Beautiful and serene.. especially the music is divine.. but as a person who cannot understand Malayalam, I would like to suggest that adding English subtitles will make this video more engaging as it will help people like me to understand the conversations to know, if not much, a little about the culture and lifestyle of the people from distant places.. Very tasty looking 😋 vegetarian items. There's abundance of water and still water is not wasted. Water used for cleaning potatoes and Dal promptly put to plants. I am in Calgary, Canada 🇨🇦 and first thing I check in the morning is this channel. Hopefully when I come back to Hyderabad I can catch the episodes much faster. May be the dialogs should also have English subtitles. Anyway I enjoy watching
