Hi Doug! Really enjoyed this video as I also like to use all kids of backpacks for different types of hikes. Also use the Waymark Mile for my daypack and like that it is made of Xpac material which is more water resistant than traditional nylon. Have never used a Tactical pack before, and dont think I will go down that path. However, I have found for shorter overnighters, I started using the traditional pack again (Gregory Katmai 65) due to being able to take larger/heavier gear and it is more comfortable to wear than Ultralight Packs when they are filled to capacity. Appreciate you Doug! Keep up the videos!
Thanks bud! I only use tactical packs for go bags, don't think I'd hike with one unless I had too. I hear you on the trad packs, they are nice when not going too far!
Great video! I was thinking of using either a tactical pack or an Osprey for daily bike commuting. I was leaning towards the tactical so I can add some hooks and strap it to my bike rack. Some of the Amazon tactical packs are inexpensive, but I wondered it they are good quality. Your vid helped me understand how they can keep the price low. Any recommendations for a tactical pack less than 25L Thanks for the vids!
That's a tough one because there are so many and it's hard to know their quality without getting one in your hands. I've heard good things about SOG, so I'd check this one out for biking: www.amazon.com/dp/B01JS72QQQ/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_GYDKXZE5YEGCB41R6PQ6?linkCode=ml1&tag=backcountr0c5-20
