Traditional West African Ritual: Emancipation Day at Pikworo Slave Camp 

Join me as we dive into what happens during the Emancipation Day night vigil at Pikworo Slave Camp in the Upper East region of Ghana.
The event is organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and its stakeholders, this is the second edition of the Emancipation Day ceremony at the Pikworo Slave Camp in Paga-Nania in the Upper East region of Ghana, West Africa.
Emancipation Day begins with a night vigil before the main Durbar the next day. The night vigil is to pay homage to deceased enslaved Africans and their descendants.
