This video really helped, can you do a video about Matt Farrell's shooting form? (He is the Notre Dame point guard) Also, I bought the Pro Guard Circuit System and I've so far only done one day, and I was already ahead of my team after getting back from Christmas break. It really helped a lot and I suggest it to every guard out there.

Coach when I keep a low set point it blocks my right eye and so I can't see the hoop anymore and have to shoot from memory. Where do you think I should keep my set point?

Hey ShotMechanics, I got my own shooting form and it ain't broke. but I can't shoot threes with my own form, normally I have a different form for my three point, but it's not really great, in fact it's too strong, I can still shoot with it, and swishes and stuff, but just never mind that. I would like to know how will I make my shooting form range to get better, my shooting form is on top of my head and a "one handed" kind of shot, where my left hand is just to aim the ball, then my right hand to do everything else.

When you said “segmented shooters” that got to me since I practiced shooting “waist down, ball down+waist up ball up” but I started shooting segmented and I made nearly all the shots I took, most from deep and in frozen cold weather, I need some compensation for this please and thanks

Can anyone help me with this problem? It is so weird. Just like today.(not just today)First: I went to the court and I shot two free throws. The first one went it. But the second one miss to the right. After that. I start to do from from left to right and stop at the right albow and shot. I shot 10 shots. 9 of then goes in. Then I start doing shots under the rim. After I made 10 of them. I start going back and back. I am just focusing on getting my albow in while doing this.Until I hit the free throw line and still. I try to shot 10. Those 10 shots are good and I did it so fast. At last. I start shot more from the free throw line. But they and not going good. I feel like everytime I shot they feels different with my fingers. Maybe just two fingers is shoting the ball. And the other fingers don't feel it is shoting the ball. That feels weird and I checked a lot of videos in youtube and I tried a lot if tips. But they just don't work.Other things: 1. when the ball went in. I feel like my hand and arm don't need to use much power. 2. I shot a lot more better when I run from left to right and stop at the right albow.(I feels it really good everytime) 3. If I miss. It most likely miss to the right.4. I feel a few time when I am putting my albow in while I am deeping. It feels good and the ball went in. But when I doing this consciously. I can't feel that and the ball will just miss.That's all information I can give and notice. Hope someone can help me!!!!!!!

Kamari Franklin thing is lethalshooter is soo strong and practices so much that his shot is that good. However, for normal humans, it’s too hard to pull up 3 and keep it consistent. It’s even farther back than Kobe's shot

Honestly, if you are shooting to the left/right it is most likely due to either a fault in your form like a thumb flick or lack of practice

For left/right you are probably not turned enough when you jump or finish - you are too square to the basket, which puts tension between your rear delts and pectoral muscle. Or, you elbow may be out, or as said earlier, you may have a thumb flick. For long/short, you are probably arcing too high. A small 1-2 degree variation from 45 degrees creates a small difference that 1-2 degrees from 55 degrees. So in other words, slight variation in too high an arc is a killer. You want that 45 degree sweet spot.

Ray Givler I have a thumb flick and my shot works. I think its because my release is always locked to the basket which corrects the turn of the flick.

hey coach, i have a low setpoint and I feel 100% comfortable shooting this way (with good results) but I really want to start doing post fadeaways like kobe without blocked. any tips? you say don't worry about the set point but I feel like it actually is of concern in the post, am I wrong?

+Ethan Tan I do, and thats the thing. I kind of have a bad habit of faking too much and by the time I do the move they see it coming. If I don't do the fake and just pull it straight up then I might get blocked

I try to do them with a higher setpoint bc thats technically the proper way but my timing feels weird bc Its not natural to me. but If I know i definitely have room I usually just do it with my normal setpoint. thing is, I don't want to have to worry about all of this, I just want to do the move with no problems

Coach please make a video on how to get your set point a bit higher because Im not strong enough to do that. I can shoot near my eye inside the three point line but I cant shoot from 3 with the release point near my eye. Also when I shoot I jump way to high and when I jump my knees bend because Im not strong enough to shoot from three with release point near my eye.
