Trafford Park used to be a mix of industrial park and residential. This film marks the end of the era when Trafford Park had a substantial population, but also is a snapshot of the dying mass employment industrial era.

I used to work at the the back of Chep pallets facing bond 36 around 1987, I remember there still being a row of terraced houses on third avenue, just down past the Trafford park hotel on the left, Coopers tobacconist was on the right side, they were demolished a while later, I think there was a bookies on there too… Trafford park was dead back then bit like a ghost town
I worked in Trafford park in the late 1980s on Ashburton Road, one of the most depressing places in England, especially walking to work at half past 7 in the morning in the pissing rain! 😉
My grandad worked at metro vicks , till he was made redundant back in late 60,s , unfortunately he passed away in 1972 so only have the stories and memories from my late father .
