Yea, that is one thing that surprised me in Japan. That being that a lot of the billing systems are still very manual. Though I was able to pay ahead of rent and such when I wasn't there, but it's setup you gotta get done way before going away for a while.

That would explain why you only got cold water, yeah. xD Cold showers aren't fun though, but at least it is better than no shower at all.~
