"It was a busy day at Paris, All Trains from many places came in and out at the same time, there was one Train who was late and was catching up for lost time, as the station getting nearer and nearer, the Engine and his Crew realised that they were approaching the station too fast, the Driver quickly shut off steam and slammed the brakes hard on.. but it was too late." Thomas the fucking tank engine styled story cuz why not
@@AlanDupreuxakaAlexBrener im not one of the witness actually, i just heard some facts about the train was catching up for lost time on the same day of the accident
Fireclips when I was younger my brother an I would build a station like in the episode out of wooden blocks and then slam the trains into it pretending they were having a crash. 😂
In thomas and friends show gordon was used to plu the express and in one day Gordon's driver upplied the backs but train not stopped and the train crashed
Even if the kid wasn’t on the tracks the train was going to crash anyway, due to its speed at the end of the line it would have put the brakes on and still crash
I saw a picture of the crash at a railroad themed restaurant and wondered what it was till now after watching the Thomas episode where Gordon crashes through the station wall
The reason why he crashed was because he was 7 minutes late so he went fast than usual but the brakes didn't work then at the very last moment the brakes turned
I wish they made Hugo more period accurate in terms of the costumes for the train crash dream. Its supposed to be 1895 but why does everyone look like they’re in the 1920s?
I was surprised when I saw that in Hugo. I don’t think they had footage of the real incident back then, but they had photos, and the film recreated it probably pretty well.
The train would still have crashed even if Hugo wasn’t there, it was going to fast to stop Plus Hugo didn’t even exist, it was just simply going to fast
Yes, there are edited episodes of Hugo's dream. All parts are has been cut and re-edited. After that it was necessary to impose a sepia color filters over existing video footage and to replace the original audio track with a new soundtrack. But Montparnasse Derailment is a historical fact...

Этот паровоз сделан из кремния что ли, хотя раньше железо было как кремний, это видно по лестницам в домах царской постройки. И потом сколько надо энергии хода что бы проломать столько преград?
On October 22nd 1895 in Paris France tragic Paris express the French conductor wants go fast but his emergency brake fail after hit buffer and hit through platforms and side of station building it was last accident in million years ago
Ещё повезло, что не взорвался котёл. Паровозик как новенький, небось поставили на рельсы и поехали. Сейчас такое тоже бывает (электричка выехала на распределительную площадку Балт. вокзала СПб).
I love the music in this video! I thought first this clip was made much earlier, but when I saw the same clip in colors from the 2011 Hugo movie, i remembered. I seen the film, it's good. But in the movie the accident happened in 1931 in stead of 1895. Right? The train must had very high speed, cause it traveled quite far before it broke trough the wall. Many people sitting or walking there. it's a miracle no one died, except the poor lady selling newspaper outside. She deserves one minute of silence to honor her memory. Would this be a quite accurate reconstruction of the accident? Except that the boy was there only in the movie, I guess.
Yes, you quite right, in the movie the accident was happened in 1931, but it was just in Hugo's dream. So far it is one and only accurate enough reconstruction of the accident. Every year in Paris on October 22 at 16:00 there's a minute of silence at Gare Montparnasse... Many thanks for your comments! Cheers!
