Turned out to be a nice day so we took advantage of this Sunday to get the tractor hooked up and did some mowing up in the back 4. Trimmed some trails also.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Every summer I want to trade my open station tractor for a cab one.... have a 50HP M5040 with 7' pull type vrush hog, thinking about copying your setup. I had no idea there was a 7' 3 point brush hog until I found your video.

I am in the market for my first tractor and have no experience with them myself. I’m on the fence between an L3902 and the L3560LE. How does your tractor handle on hills? Do you ever feel like you need more horsepower to get up hills in such a heavy machine? My neighborhood is on a hill and I will be taking over road and ditch maintenance for our private gravel road, among normal hobby farm tasks as we grow our homestead. Eventually would like chickens of course, a dairy cow, a couple sheep to raise lambs, and goats to help keep the brush in check on the hillside where I can’t take machinery. I’m having a hard time deciding if more weight or more horsepower will be in my favor for my situation. The L3902 would be using LP 20 series 60 inch implements and the L3560 would be using LP20 series 72” implements. Any help or advice you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks for the video!
Hi Robert thanks for watching. I owned an L3800 as well before the 3560 that is similar to the 3902 you are looking at. Both fairly salable machines but keep in mind there are limits. Especially under load. The 3560 has a completely different transmission compared to the 3902. Quite complex and high end. Also less noise and easier foot pedal control if you are going hydrostatic? I do a-lot with the tractor and for the power it does everything I ask it to. I have skidded some rather large oak logs out of the woods up steep hills and has performed well. It has a high and low range in between High medium and low. Therefor more options when climbing hills. The Price point between the two tractors may be significant so I guess that might be a factor in you’re purchase. If not I would recommend the L3560.
@@Summitoutdoorproductions thanks for the reply! Actually the 3902 and the 3560LE are extremely close in price. I’ve got them down to about $1000 difference on the online builder. That’s what is making it so hard. I’d really like the extra loader capacity but I’m wondering if the 3560 is too big for my needs. I’d go with the 4060 if I could afford that one because it makes up the horsepower lost from the 3902. Just batting around the idea and trying to make a decision. I probably won’t settle on anything until I can see them in person at the dealership. Still waiting on the sale of our first business to finalize so we will have the money to put down on it, so I’ve got a bit of time.
