Came out great! Now, I'd be tempted to do a big graphic of some sort on the sides.. Maybe the skull wearing the respirator that was on your bike...something to break up all that gray
Looks awesome, glad to see more vids. Now you need to do the rims on it to match the car. I was also sad to see someone else doing the paint for MCM instead of you and VG. They have other projects, so get on em for a great chance for a colab.
Hey mate gotta say I love your stuff especially your new part series, it came out just in time while I'm chopping my patrol into a dual cab, you have helped me with the body work massively. So my question is I'm looking at doing a respray in raptor but I would like as smooth as possible finish, could adding some thinners help with that and would more pressure also help? And could I do a couple coats of clear over the raptor also?
Great video, loved it! You did a pro job all the way. That was a useful tip about the paint color being on the door jamb, thanks! You did the right thing using your own spray gun. The supplied gun goes on too thick and rough from other videos I've seen. Thanks for all the links! Some questions if you don't mind. It will save me research time. 1. Type of face mask you used? It looks effective. This stuff is very toxic to lungs. 2. How much time do you have to complete the spraying after mixing hardener to resin? 3. Can this be rolled on with a fine mohair roller outdoors? I have to do an RV and may or may not be able to spray. 4. Did you have to clean your spray nozzles between each bottle? Your kid is so cute and very pretty! She is learning DIY skills just by watching Dad. Don't underestimate how useful this is! They soak up all the foundations of DIY if they are around someone who does it. I used to watch my dad build his own electric kilns and tackle projects and all of us 3 kids have massive DIY orientation now. I used to watch my Mom make French homemade mayonnaise whisking it by hand and when in college I just copied her and made perfect mayo for the first time. You soak it up as a child. As an adult, you never have the same grounding. Make sure she sees everything you do and explain it to her including safety rules like protecting lungs. This is the best education for real life! She will not be a princess with a Honey-Do list for a man but tackle it herself. And no, it does not make women less feminine to have real life skills, no worries! Just more capable, self-reliant, independent, and be paid more in wages.
Another awesome vid mate . I’m wanting to paint my ARB canopy with raptor which is made of ABS plastic. Wondering,Would my compressor that delivers 220L/min (free air delivery) be capable of achieving the same results using the same setup your using here? Cheers👍
Looks fantastic. I have used a fair amount of raptor liner myself and I can purchase a kit of 4 L for $190. Is it the fact that it’s the tintable version and the tint makes it $500 or is it just the region you are from? Thanks.
Great job, well done mate. I'm looking at spraying a whole Navara ute with the regular black raptor liner and I like the idea of using a 3.5mm spray gun instead of the supplied gun. Can I run the standard Raptor liner and hardener through a 3.5mm gun tip or will I need to thin down a little? If so what ratio of thinners will be required? Cheers.
