Great video man. Ive gotta 2014 XRX. Recently upgraded about everything you can with these. You should definitely check out the upgraded suspension that hammerhead offers. The hammerhead and trailmaster are basically the exact same buggy. The parts are interchangeable.
This was GREAT! I'm almost 6'2 and I've been wanting one of these but was worried about how I would fit. I'm so glad you mentioned that even a tall guy of 6'4 could even be comfortable.
Yup that’s always the issue when you are tall and it’s hard to find the information. Same deal with the Tao Tao dbx1 140cc pit bike the seat height is 35 inches so it fits tall people
Awesome video man! I loved the editing and your ranch looks like so much fun to drive that kart around! My 14 year old son has the exact same model except in blue and he has about 1,080 miles on it in 4 years. The kart still runs good and haven’t had to do anything to the engine, only electrical!!
Thank you so much for the comment. I’m loving the go kart and my Tao Tao pit bike. Just started doing small jumps. I’m trying to hold myself back so I don’t end up injuring myself. I’m 52 years old and I love this stuff like a 12 year old.
MEDIOCRE MAN CHANNEL haha yea be careful with the jumping. I spoke to soon with the TrailMaster kart. We just ordered $500 worth of parts for it to re-do the entire CVT transmission with new performance clutch, variator and belt because it is really worn, magnetic drain plugs to take away the metal shavings in the engine, and a breather kit which screws into where the oil dipstick is to allow the head to breathe for more power. Also the solenoid went bad which prevented it from starting so I had to order a new one but until it comes in I just bypass it by connecting the two connections with a screw driver. We have a lot of work to do 🤦♂️ You shouldn’t have to worry about any work or maintenance on your kart for a while! -these things require a lot of work the more you drive them/longer you’ve had them
@@henry9024 I would not know how to do any of that. Make videos of all of those repairs/replacements and post them. I have about 150 miles on it already, and this with just riding like every 2 weeks.
MEDIOCRE MAN CHANNEL don’t worry brother neither did I at first. I found these two people called “Kachi’s Kid” and “Rolling Wrench” who are both experts at servicing these engines. I purchased some parts from rolling wrench’s site and watched his RU-vid vids and kachis kids RU-vid vids on how to change the clutch, variator, and variator rollers. It’s very simple don’t worry!
@@henry9024 you don't need that breather at all. The only thing you need for your oil is a cooler. It's about 100 bucks from hammerhead. You'll need to weld two bolts behind the drivers seat right by the battery box to mount it. Another good thing to do is once you replace the stock head with a performance head swap out the stock oil pump witha high flow one. Ive gotta 2014 XRX and with this time from quarantine ive pretty much upgraded everything you can do to these. At 929 miles I too replaced the entire CVT, but i also installed a performance head with camshaft so needed the cooler. If you go the big bore route, don't go 63mm, go 62mm. You'll need a 2.2 mm crankshaft for the big bore, and try to buy a forged piston as they're better in the long run. These buggys are stupidly fun to customize. Enjoy.
Thanks for the video. Looks like a blast to drive. I just bought a 200E (EFI) XRX 'full size' I get it end of Oct..$3000. It will be delivered in a 18 wheeler with a lift gate to my door. Nothing says "Hey, I just blew a sh1tload of money on a toy..." to the neighbors like. a big azz truck dropping a big azz pallet. My wife will be happy it won't be (another) crate of milsurp rifles. There are a ton of hop ups for your XRS, but the EFI is the new model so, no go faster parts...yet...hopefully coming. I'm hoping some code monkey well delve into the ECU and map a good fuel air ratio, for at least a open element air cleaner and a tuned header. The 200 E XRX does come with a few add ons: top mounted LED light bar, aluminum wheels, a place for a trailer ball. I'm not a videographer, but I may film the final assembly and what I find when it's "unboxed", maybe a short hot lap to see if itll get out of it's own way. And what upgrades could be done to the engine, if any, and how the suspension and steering work out of the box. There's a lot that can be done to the CVT to make it launch harder. I have a HF clone 6.5 with a mikuni and a header on my Murray explorer. It will spin the rims inside of the wheels if the tires hook up. Tiny sheet metal screws solved that. The wife thinks I'm selling that. She thought that bv about my Mosin PU snipers too. After 30 years of 'wedded bliss' she will, once again realize life is full of surprises....#@×#&* speaking of surprises. I gotta get the empty rifle brass out of the oven and the fuel pump, alternator and miscellaneous bolts out of the dishwasher before she gets home or I'll be surprised I'm sleeping in my shop. "My hypocrisy goes only so far.".. Hopefully, see ya all EOM October 2020 2 down votes by couch dwellers watch soaps.
Let me know how you like it. I was considering that model because It will always start. Though I have had zero issues so far knock on wood with it starting. However the accelerator cable snapped. Just replaced it.
I'm looking to save up for one of these. how tall is your 13 year old son by chance?(I'm I'm looking for a go-kart that fits a variety of people of different heights.)
Thanks for the video, looks super fun! Did you buy it used somewhere? I can’t seem to find the 150s anymore online and the current 200 ones they sell don’t have the extra goodies like the speedo and mirrors or turn signals.
Salve, potresti gentilmente darci il links del sito e-commerce del venditore in modo da poterlo acquistare anche per nostro figlio, e dirci quanto costa? Purtroppo noi non capiamo l'inglese, ma comunque e un bel video, complimenti.
Hello again, I'm thinking about buying this go kart or the Trailmaster 150 XRS this spring, or for my birthday. Is the chain heavy-duty or does it break a lot? Are there any issues with the clutch and/or engine? How do you tighten the chain? Is this go kart high quality and are there any issues with it?
Chain is heavy duty. Zero issues with clutch or engine. You just need to be sure to charge up the battery periodically with a tender as is recommended in the instructions manual. It is high quality. Also periodically check the nuts and bolts. Vibrations can shake them lose so you want to check it every so often to make sure all the bolts are tight. I have 300 miles on mine and works great.
Did you ever have this problem? My Trailmaster just stopped moving forward while driving. She revs up but no forward or reverse... The belt is fine and the chain is fine what could be the problem? Breaks aren't seized up either
Hey I just fixed her. It was the front Drive sprocket... The teeth on the inside of sprocket were worn bald! 😂 If I looked at the drive shaft sprocket sooner she wouldn't have sat for 4 months 😔 Thanks for your tips though 🙌
