Viscount Arseid out here with severely damaged lungs (McBurn) and fresh out of an explosion missing an arm, yet he's still the most badass noble in this series.
@@anxivty it’s not truly fan service. Just the fact both characters use the same style of swordsmanship. It’s like the fact Viscount Arseid, Laura, and Aurelia have similar S Crafts.
@@lenleon3699 I mean...Victor and Laura do pretty much have the same Scraft, aside from the color of the energy emitted. Interestingly enough their scrafts are basically both an extended version of Victors scraft in CS1.
@@sothe0539 Victor actually clarifies that their S-Craft is the Master Level technique of the Arseid school. We should assume that Kurt and Mueller are merely using the same Vander school technique, but with different weapons (The great sword version and the twin bladed version).
Musse's Galaxia Volley is timed perfectly with the music with the part where she waves her hand forward, to the guns firing after and the explosion at the end where her gun appears back in hand. Also Vita's cut in timed with the music was brilliant
that's how skilled the Radiant Blademaster is; in cold steel 3 it's revealed that his fight at the infernal castle with McBurn damaged his lungs, so he was to able to fight at near peak strength while struggling to breath. So what's the loss of an arm after that?
Know I'm probably being a bother but, will you be doing a compilation video of the victory quotes? Or is this a situation like Hajimari where there are just too many of them to make a video?
Damn that final picture with all the cold steel characters at the wedding always makes me so sad cuz I know from now on it's just cameo appearances for them. Probably won't ever see any of them take center stage again.
that is not true though. SSS had their dedicated route (even if it was lackluster) in Hajimari. There are also quite a few characters, such as Olivert, who are ever present in the series. After shit in Calvard gets real, we will definitely see more countries involved, which will force their respective casts to enter the story. Imho, Calvard's cast will probably be the last major cast we are introduced to. Because so far, it seems that there are 2 Sept-Terrions present in Calvard. That would leave us only with 1 major arc left, to set up the Epilogue of the series. At that point there would be 0 sense to introduce new characters as Kiseki is not that type of series, so final cast is either destined to be a combination of all major casts from the arcs so far, or simply the 3d PoV from the Ouroboros/Church, which will still be roughly the same as TiS 3d.
@@coupdegrace2767 I'm not saying we won't every see the old casts again. I mean they won't be the focus of what's going on. Like we've seen the sky characters come back but they're kinda just there to help out. It's not really their story anymore. I'm sure we'll see the cold steel cast come back again but they'll probably just be helping whatever the main cast of that current arc will be. Also I do think there will be an arc about the Church before all is said and done.
5:42 Well, as much as I like Xeno and think his VA fits his personality, I'm still not sure what he says in his S-Craft between the "Here I go!" and "You'll do" parts. I settled for guessing "Move along", but it's a mystery, lol. Update: Apparently the line's "Who to off?".
I just realized... Gilberts G-Maximum... a blue flying mech rushing through enemies with a blue energy shield, at supersonic speeds... Is that a reference to V-MAX from Layzner?
It's Dusk, that's the name of the S-craft. Dawn was his CS2 one (They're playing with the Dusk and Dawn part here, as well as for his final S-craft "Breaking Dawn", to compare it to the great twilight)
They did. They released Cold Steel I and II way back in the day on PS Vita, then they released Cold Steel I through IV on PS4 in order. Now if you mean Kiseki as a whole, then yes, you're missing the two games that came BEFORE Cold Steel I, Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki, which are required reading for CS IV and suggested reading for CS III. I watched LP's of them with English patches on RU-vid before I played Cold Steel III and I don't regret it. If the PS4 versions come to the USA I'll definitely buy & play them.
Was there any particular issue with the translation you thought could’ve been done better? It all sounded fantastic to me! Oh wait are you talking about the name? Nah the name’s great, the Japanese name wouldn’t have worked well at all in English, thematically the name fits really well, and even back with the XSeed days they used to change and localize Scraft names differently from the original Japanese. Gaius’ “EXPEL LANCER” being localized as “Twin Cyclones” for example. Or all of Estelle’s moveset even.
@Halcon Serrano The translations themselves were fantastic which is what mattered most! Fixing technical issues like box breaks and typos will definitely happen for sure, but I’m just so happy the actual localization we got was fantastic, if a little rough around the edges on a technical level.
@@Averi0 agreed. Popping in Palace of Eregion at the right time will save your bacon plenty of times in nightmare. Much more useful than Elliot’s healing craft IMO (you can always use an item or Shining Ring if you need your party healed, not to mention the several Orders that heal the party).
14:04 Oh come on of all the characters to get a voice change it had to be Laura. Hopefully it's just for this game and Marisha will be back in the next one.
Nah, it's extremely unlikely. Marisha Ray doesn't do any VA work nowadays, she's extremely busy with Critical Role. Her last credited work was in fact CS3 Laura.
and still no crossbell duology localization. it's like watching The matrix 1 and 3, the lord of the rings 1 and 3 and so on... and now on steam they're gonna release the duology with chinese and korean translations... it's like they're rubbing it on our faces
Rean's voice delivery during his S-Craft in his ogre form sounds so rushed and out of place. Why did they have him repeat his "Termination Slash Dawn" line from CS2? They should've kept his Ashen Slash Mortal Leaves line from CS3 for his unchained form. The delivery of that line was badass, sucks that they changed it.
Hey not to be too much of a bother man, but would it be possible for you to upload a version of this with the music turned wayyyy down? It’s muxed so loudly right now that it’s kinda hard to actually hear how awesome some of the voices are. Just a request, would be awesome if you could!
I just remember Estelle almost performing that same thing and got kicked 😂. It's in the anime though. Yes we have Trails in the Sky anime it's really short though more like something good for marketing
@@fierytigergaming8112It sounds so rushed and out of place tho. Idk why they reused it and didn't keep his "Ashen Slah Mortal leaves" from CS3. The delivery of that line was badass.
Gosh the change in voice actors for some characters really ruined it for me, at least there are still some good voices even in those changes. Also, rean sounds more pissed of in his normal version than in the demon power version, I didn't even notice the change in his voice like in previous games, and ALSO one fatal mistake, rean almost never changes the S Craft's name if he's with the demonic power, and at least make it believable, "termination slash dawn", come on man, that's not his craft, that was the craft back in sen 2 and it's not excecuted like that.
@@plutonash2545 I replayed it and I still hear dawn...maybe it's because he just says it too fast, another thing that bothers. Even so, is the same skill he uses in his normal form so he shouldn't change its name completely because there's no sense to it. It's not like in cs1 when he just added ruin to the name when he used the demonic power, he changes the name completely here, no sense at all.
Gotta say Gaius's title is one of the more annoying changes NISA made, I love their work on the series but man "Empyrean Phoenix" (the original title) is so much better then "Soaring Phoenix"
And then they screw up again two years later by naming Elaine "Beauty Blade", instead of "Sword Maiden" (The former's more appropriate given the fact her fighting style has elegance... but to each their own)
Dont. Start with cold steel 1, or even Trails in the Sky if time isnt an issue. Starting at 4 would be like watching Endgame first. You'll be wondering "who are these people?" Cause there are so, so many lol
After playing the Japanese version, I'm shocked how some of the S-Craft's names in English doesn't match up with it's Japanese counterpart. It's like NISA just threw some cool sounding terms together, thinking non-Japanese players wouldn't know any better. Now, names like Rising Sun or Phantom Raid gets a pass because the Japanese version said the exact same thing, and some like Radiant Phoenix Blade is an accurate translation (Although omitting "Ougi" is unacceptable) If there's dialogues during it's execution, about half of it gets it correctly while the other half doesn't As for the S-Craft animation, it seems to lack a bit of variety, in that most just ends with a huge explosion, a little overdone Sucks that George, Ines, Ennea, and Celine don't have S-Craft
Did they not get Estelle and Joshua’s voices from trails in the sky? Their S-Crafts doesnt sound iconic compared to the last one and Estelle sounds like she is recording in the bathroom.
