I used to travel between Helsingør and Copenhagen every day for school as an exchange student in 2012. Just as I remember. Thank you for bringing back the good memories!
Awesome. Love the beauty of the colors on the trees. I felt like I was out driving down a country rode enjoying the sights. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels ahead. God bless.
Why can't we have more of this in the United States? I was born in Sweden and we go back every year to visit. I have taken this train many times from Båstad, Sweden, over the giant Öresunds bridge to the airport in Copenhagen. That is about a 2 hour ride and very nice. I'm sorry, but our infrastructure is Third World compared to this!
american society is based on cars and they kinda invented cars. they didnt invent trains so thats why they dont want trains. its the same with american football, basketball and compared to soccer (real football). if usa dont invented it, then we arent that intrested in it as the rest of the world.
Tak for rideturen.
3 years ago i was traveling from Denmark back to Germany and Holland with car and i kind it boring. But with this track it is beyond any of my imagination. Kobenhavn H and Helsingor are beautiful stations. And in the tunnels its kinda like spooky and mysterious. Great job and beautiful video. Greetz from Holland
I like all the cab rides all through Europe. I must have lived in Holland in a past life because there places there that I recognize. Truly the Railroads in Europe are much better shape and more traveled than in the United States.
For me it wasn't so much the alarm beeps (though they certainly were ear-piercingly high), it was the incessant snickering and giggling of the "school children" in the cab. Next time Jan should leave them behind.
Good relaxing journey, especially in autumn season when leaves of trees start turning yellowish orange. What's this that I hear about graffiti and vandalism?
Fantastisk, video, Jeg er veldig opptat av tog å jernbanen, kjempe kuul at forklarer hva de forskjellige tegn betyr også videre., keep up the good. Workshop, hemningar från Ivan från Norge
@@Kasmuller no, you can clearly see the "back half" of the train is smaller and therefore it can not be the same train. There are two tracks and the "back train" is on the track farthest away.
at last, campingplatz nivá.the last time i wash there ,it wash in 1978.long time ago.but it wash super, nice people.stil kontakt.but i wil laern to speak Dansk.i live in the Netherlands(Holansk).
It is roughly the same as in Sweden, but constructed a bit differently. For example, the ATC transponders are located at the side of the track in Denmark, while they are located in the middle of the track in Sweden. Also, in Denmark they sometimes use signal cables beside the track before certain signals, allowing the ATC system on the train to immediately know that the signal has changed from red to green. I miss that function here in Sweden. :)
Thanks for the information :) The same problem is occurred here in Finland as we have almost the same system. Here on our railway lines we have of course the normal set of balises like you have but afterwards we have added some extra balises to the tracks so that the ATC-system gets the information that the signal has changed to speed up again quicker with extra balises.
Fin video. Bra filmat. Fantastiska höstfärger. TACK!
Do you mean the random beeping or the sound the train makes when it moves? The beeping is the train safety system. The sound on the acceleration is the AC inverters which power the motors.
My word, look at the graffiti on the train on the left @ 10.00. What do those signs on the platforms with numbers on them represent (like 80 & 200 at 9:53)?
Yes, some graffiti "artists" are very productive. There's almost no train without any graffiti on it nowadays, sadly. The signs with numbers indicate where the trains should stop. So "80" for trains that are 80 meters in length, and so on.
About graffiti: Half the population thinks it is refreshing, and half of us thinks it is the first step towards SLUM. Who is to say, who is on the right track about this?
Martin Usher We use huge sums on cleaning up graffiti weekly, but the underage and disgruntled youths, who can't be jailed, steal new spray cans and repair their "artwork" just as fast. They mainly target the underground traffic tunnels - where the 'lazy' policemen don't come - because they can't drive there. A law was passed five years ago, making the parents economically accountable for the removal of their children's "artwork", but these are kids of parents with no money. Our next attempted remedy was having the social workers and police (SoPo) find an adult coach for them to ensure some education, social skills and job capability. That worked great - so now graffiti has become a way to cry for help - non-verbally. As a career choice it's better than going into crime and in Denmark we tend to side with the children. Bad upbringing isn't exactly their choice or responsibility, now is it? So we take the pragmatic approach. Invest something in the derailed children and get less crime and better citizens - meanwhile who cares about a little color on the grey concrete? The only complaint I hear from tourists in Denmark is about our price of living - and on that I agree. Seems only Schwitzerland is worse...
Øresundstog har 3 vogne i stammen. Nogle køre med to stammer.
Sorry do you want us to close some of the stations so less people can use the train? It's a city with a large urban area surrounding it what do you expect?
Wow, tunnels after Copenhagen is extremely dirty and dark compared to tunnels in Sweden. On stations graffiti is present too, its generally feels much less well maintained then in Sweden.
+Kuribo Kutsu I think there are two reasons for the tunnels being so dirty compared to Sweden's: 1) The tunnels in Denmark are older. It's not fair to compare the tunnel between Malmö C and Hyllie (built just a couple of years ago) and the ones under Copenhagen. 2) Denmark have many diesel engines, hauling both cargo and passenger cars. Sometimes when I wait to take over the train at Copenhagen central station, I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a highway in the 1970's. Diesel engines all around me, spewing out dark clouds of smoke. That doesn't help the decor. ;)
Well in terms of graffiti then you can blame the government for that. They're always trying to cut corners and in the last few years they've fired countless people from state run companies including the ones that maintain and run the railroads of Denmark. Honestly though they probably did this because they weren't getting enough money from the railroads but the tickets are way overpriced as it is and they're raising them more and more. It's an endless downward spiral that could be turned around if they just lowered the ticket price to a point where they could compete with private cars.
Why all the bullshit about graffiti? It's vandalism, pure and simple. If kids - and so called adults - want artistic fulfilment, learn to draw and paint properly. You've no right to use other people's property as canvas and, if you get caught, I hope they throw the book at you.
Heresy. The engine noise is all the Music you need. I guess your one of those assholes who would timelapse this and put some horrible techno track to it. Your seat in Hell has been reserved. Godday Sir! I said Godday!
