The largest locomotive Train Horn show / honk in America!! 2024s honk had some pretty nice pieces from KM ship horns too a very rare H5 and S3J. This year we had around 170 horns show up. While it wasn’t the biggest year by volume this year definitely had some of the rarest examples show up. We also have the addition of a much needed air reservoir upgrade. A 600 gallon tank was donated by a very generous member. Much appreciated!!! There are over 90 different horns sampled in this video including Chris Walsh’s (fellow RU-vidr) very cool custom creations.

To think that NOS Nathan M3 was the voice of the LIRR many decades ago...it probably was the reason why NIMBYs out there were raging mad hearing these at night 🙃 Too bad none of these were heard in the Atlantic Avenue tunnels 😢

Mountains and canyons are ideal, but realistically not a place to have a horn meet. I’m the host of this event. I’m satisfied with the 34 acres around us, 5 miles of river valley in front of us and hills beyond to bounce off of. I’ve counted 10 seconds of audible reverb after the last yank. We have it good here.
