If you are talking about the reaction of guys pulling the “prank” then you would be correct. This is not even really a prank, it just a bunch of obnoxious a-holes who get off on annoying people. To a normal person a prank is supposed to be funny and enjoyable even for the victims - and if you watch a good scare prank 95 percent of the victims will end up laughing. When a bully pulls a prank however the purpose is to anger or humiliate the victims in order to make the prankster himself feel somehow superior to his victims. And although people like this think they are better than everyone else, the truth is they actually have very low self-esteem and are just overcompensating for this fact by being d#cks.

Long time ago there was a certain French truckdriver driving the longest allowed European size rig, a Volvo. He had fitted a two tone horn from a scrapped French railbus on the air brakes in his Volvo. He would stop his truck at Railway crossings for a nonexistant train coming. When people in other cars began to get impatient and doubt the existence of a train, he would just blow his railbus horn time and again, to test how long he could fool them.
