Train Knocks Down The Signals! Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Signals! Deshler Ohio CSX Train LONG!!

Train drops the signals at the railway diamonds in Deshler, Ohio. Look how long this CSX mixed freight is! This train is a monster! Also included is some railroad maintenance of way welding at the diamond. The train station behind the track workers was restored and is used by CSX maintenance crews. These trains just keep getting longer and longer. Count the cars and leave a comment below. There is a short clip of the dogs playing just before the slide show. Deshler is a great place to film trains since it has tables, a shelter, port o lets and radio feeds for railfans. I spent the night nearby at Findlay, Ohio at the Quality Inn. "Knocking down the signal" is railroad jargon. It means that the railroad signal changes from green to red. I am really surprised that so many people have never heard of that. Filmed June 11, 2021 with gambit1960. Thanks for watching! Please thumbs up and watch another JawTooth video to help my channel.

Guess i did not see where the train "knocked the signal down". Did i miss it?
@JawTooth
@JawTooth 3 года назад
Go to 2:23 at right at 2:27 you should be able to see it. Those lights are not very bright and with the sun at that angle it makes it difficult but I can see it with my cell phone. Actually the old B&O lights are easier to see than the new Safetrans lights.
@JohnRandomness105

@@JawTooth Okay, I think I get it. "Knock the signal down" is jargon. I kept thinking of the train hitting the signal and breaking it. I remember it from the occasional train trip I took. The train approaches a green signal light. Once the engine passes, the light shifts to red because a train (or part) is now beyond it.

JawTooth is definitely one of the few rail fans who is “normal.” I’ve tried watching a couple of others and they either feel the need to narrate for 15 straight minutes in their creepy voices, do strange unbalanced stuff (wear costumes to watch trains), or are just so odd that I would feel embarrassed if my other half walked in and saw me watching them. I don’t know what it is about trains that turns probably very nice decent people into oddballs. Maybe all the foam? Lol

@@runnikee6986, Well, whenever I play Transport Fever 2 I never feel the need to do any of that stuff. So all I can say is that it's not the trains, it's the people. And there are certainly a lot of crazies out there.

In my serious binnis headphones I heard him say "Jaw Tooth" lol Did you happen to notice how thick those steel plates were on those flat cars? If you look at 4:00 it looks like thick armor plate for a battleship or something. Plus, the cars are marked "hot" as in temperature. I suppose they're going somewhere to be rolled? Who knows. I hope we helped you get that vehicle, JT. That's cool.
