I thought Armstrong Powerhouse were the top guys when it came to sounds, so I'm surprised that these are not meeting expectations. I was really looking forward to hearing the realistic roar of the class 150 as it pulls away from the station.
Yeah, I thought so as well. I have a feeling that it isn't just AP's fault though, and that Rivet didn't do too well when mixing/revising these sounds for TSW.
I think this route is good. Even though there isn't many services, I love the scenery, beeches and houses. I think it would give the players a british summer vibe
@@___-000 the HST would have been a nice addition, but the route name is "West Cornwall Local" not "Express", so it's understandable for it to be missing. Hopefully we will get out BR Blue and our Swallow Livery HSTs some day. An older cab and thr Valenta engine would be welcomed by all British Train fans im sure!
The HST would need a whole overhaul because it just isnt the same version so i don't blame them on that I feel like they're getting flack or something that isn't just a simple reskin. The cab, the physics of the train, the old engine, Engine sounds, Livery. The exterior model would need new headlights the passenger cars would have to be converted back to the old style inside and out. Its alot of work for them to do on a model they did not create. For the case of having more trains and trains of the time would be better of having the 37/47 from Northern Trans-Pennine.
Agreed about the HST, they can't just dump the modern GWR in, and an older one would be an entirely new project. The route is called "West Cornwall Local" not "Express", so it would be a severe waste of time to build an entire HST for a very short run. I can imagine the community would then just moan that you can't achieve 125mph and go all the way to London in it. Danmed if they do, dammed if they don't. But, its their choice of when to set the route and what stock to include.
I know this area very well, and I’m hence excited for this route. However, I don’t really see why it needed to be set in the 1990s, the modern day version would be much more exciting and they wouldn’t have to re-make the HST. Just the 150 and 37 feels really limited and nothing like what you’d actually see along the lines, which is a bit immersion breaking imo.
This route seems like a good route, there are some things that they could have done to improved. Personally I'm not excited for this route but it isn't a bad route.
0:46 That looks fuck all like Penzance. Penzance is right behind the station and it's a fucking huge ass Village that goes around the headland. Theres just trees everywhere. The beach doesn't extend that far AT ALL. I can point out so many inaccuracies. *edit* he said something about older scenery so fair enough but that still shouldn't look the way it does for 1990s.
Not a bad route but.............. Yes after a while it get's boring doing the same thing,Hopefully it'll get an extention either as far as Plymouth or Exeter......Be great if it could be joined up with the GWR mainline to London Paddington. I personatly rate this 8/10..........
It is a good route. But it would be way better if they added the HST. Tbh I'd prefer them adding the innaccurate one that already exists, instead of just not doing it
I'm interested in this route I agree with all the things you said River could do a better job with accuracy sounds of the trains and the whole route in general I would prefer the modern-day ERA with the class 378 and the class 800 I wish they took time more time on this route so they can do it perfect so they can get to a certain level where dovetail games is at!! I would also like to suggest to DTG another UK route which would be Northern operator. I love watching your videos keep up the good work
In the preview stream, they said licencing was an issue for modern day. I read that as they can't get a GWR licenced 150 and probably wouldn't be able to include the GWE HST licenced for the Paddington to Reading route.
