Hello and welcome to Train Simulator 2022!
We're back again hurtling across the Wherry Lines route by Armstrong Powerhouse, though it's had an update! Today we're taking a drive in the AP Class 156 in the "ONE" livery, on a stopping service from Norwich to Great Yarmouth via Acle.
Personally i'm quite impressed with the update, it really does improve the route (though to be fair I can't quite remember exactly what it was like beforehand), however I do object to it being a paid update, and my reasoning is given in the video.

The class 37's and MK2 coaches know as the short set was fantastic for enthusiasts. You can get a ticket called the wherry ranger and ride the wherry lines all day. Norwich to Lowestoft was my favourite route and Somerleyton was my favourite station. On a summer evening it was a fantastic time out.

Awesome video joe! Absolutely love this route on the wherry lines. The other track as you came into great Yarmouth leads to Lowestoft. I'm not sure if they still run from Yarmouth to Lowestoft. Would love to see you do this route with some other locos maybe the 37's or more update ones Thanks for sharing 😊

The Wherry Lines route requires London to Ipswich as well as Isle of Wight, and additionally one of either Portsmouth Direct Line, West Coast Main Line Over Shap or Western Lines of Scotland.

I don’t own the Wherry Lines, and maybe never will. But I do agree that 4.99 to upgrade a route when someone could do it for free is a bit, strange. I have to agree with ONE looking nice on the Turbostars. Though in my opinion the Chiltern 168s look nicer, though that may be because that’s my neck of the woods. One final thing, the menu you saw is the F5 Menu. Unsurprisingly you enable it with F5

The signals are not broken, the signaller was slowing you down for the junction to turn towards Acle. It is something done with semaphore signals thing that has been accurately simulated by AP.

@@JoeDobsongaming I am not from the area, I just know the route from playing the original a lot. I recall seeing it in other (unofficial) route learning videos too but I have watched that many over the past couple of years I can't remember which routes they were now.

Hi Joe. Not sure I’d pay a fiver for this upgrade. I’m quite happy with the original. There are dependencies for this route and loads more for the various scenarios. I’m sure you have them installed already, so I don’t know why there were missing roads and bridges; I can’t believe AP would release it like that.

As I mentioned on another channel, the upgrade costs £5 but you need to spend another £36 or so on "route requirements" to get it working - of course some may already have these other requirements - plus any extras for the scenarios included

If they did an update, why not add in the new signalling, layouts and new trains - an update to 2022 that is wildly out of date before it was released - great for history, but semaphores?

not really they could have brought it out as a separate route and made you pay again. they do need paying for the work they have put in its not cheep to make the new assets and improvments

If you permanently couple a Pacer to a Sprinter, don't you just get a much less reliable train The scandal is the Pacers were meant to be a low-cost alternative to a Sprinter and yet the operating cost of a Pacer was higher
