This video is part of the "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Engineers" course offered at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This course introduces ML/AI theory and applications that are relevant to engineering, with a focus on practical machine learning for civil engineering. This tutorial illustrates how to use Matlab to train a logistic regression classification model. We use this model to predict whether tomorrow will be rainy or not based on the knowledge of today's relative humidity and atmospheric pressure. We discuss how to visualize the classes and the decision boundary hyperplane, as well as how to calculate the accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score of the classification model.
