Who else liked the video before they even watched it?!!! I really love the discipline your dogs have. I love all your content but I watch the training portions over and over.
I always enjoy your Videos! Your so consistent and Positive and happy to see I love your dogs, you have a good looking pack ;) Mama is a Good pack leader and a teacher! Your daughter is so adorable and kind
Puppy: Stubborn dominance Choke & scream Acts like the world is coming to an end Being overly dramatic Gives owners Hell Preacher: Sends warning signal by growling twice Ingests stick then SNAPS at stubborn puppy Totally holding back knowing it’s s puppy Rolls around on the grass LESSON OVER , WILL RESUME AS NEEDED MILD TO SEVERE WILL BE ADJUSTED TO HOW THE PUPPY QUICKLY LEARNS CRUCIAL TRAINING meanwhile... I showered my lab/pit mix puppy with praises & a treat for sitting after numerous requests. Love your channel, gorgeous dogs! 🐕🐾💋💜
Just had to go back and reminisce on how far youve come. Your channel supporters love you Rachel and we are all going through this together with you, we feel it too. Preacher has always been an amazing dog.
The whole video I just couldn't stop watching Preacher he's absolutely GORGEOUS 😍❤️!! Great training video and that pup couldn't have ask for a better pack to teach him😎. Good job Rachel and Savannah! I can't wait to learn more! This series is a fantastic idea 🤓. Many blessings
I'm so glad for this video. It is so raw and real! So many other "training" videos look staged or done with puppies who have been trained a little bit before being taped and it is not helpful. Your video showed us a completely untrained puppy and even though he was stubburn (and it wasn't perfect... it shouldn't be) at least we get to see that it's not rainbows. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well, I just want to see more of these raw videos where we see training in the process. Seeing other videos that make training look easy because the puppy listens after 2-4 attempts is not helpful. It actually delusions people into thinking training is easy and is always successful after 1 session (which it is not ;()
I love these vids for the same exact reason I just got a pup and few weeks ago and it's the first time I've brought a baby around my grown dogs so I was nervous I didnt know what would happen and the times they snapped or growled at him I needed to see if that was normal or if I should be concerned or intervene but looking up these videos I've realized it's nothing to be concerned about it's just how they teach them so I feel more at ease
It’s crazy seeing the growth of your dogs!! People including my self don’t understand how much time you gotta put in theses dogs especially a puppy I watch every video old new etc! Education never stops
This is really useful information to help me further train my puppy, i always thought why she was more dramatic recently (shes 5 months on Wednesday) and now i can continue to train her efficiently
Thank you so very much for these videos. I put a deposite on a Male Cane Corso puppy. I pick up Watson Geoffrey the second week in August. My new best friend and constant companion. Through your videos I have the knowledge and mental ability to train and deal with problems before they get out of control. You gave me the confidence needed for this breed. Thank you soooooo much.
Hey Rachel, hey Savannah. I like the pack checkin out the newbie. He's cute. You can see everyone's role. You can never get anything pass Midnight. She is always alert and at the ready. 😀 The new pup, Rahstah, walking with the Preacher man. Cooool dude.
A chain collar is to be used with a dog on your left side and and it is not to be kept in a choke position. It's a quick pop until the dog learns to give to the pressure. It snaps the brain into paying attention to you. When putting a choke chain on always hold it up in front of the dog so it makes a "P". In this position with your dog/puppy on the left it has a nice slide and release. And just like with horses, NEVER wrap any rope or lead around your hands or arms.
I watch your channel allll the time but for some reason i don’t think i’ve ever seen your face Rachel! YOU ARE STUNNING!!! also lovee preacher and your training style!!!!
These dogs are definitely an amazing breed. I love watching videos of people who love and care for these dogs in the proper way. I’ve learned a lot. I wish people would realize that they (the human) needs to be trained before getting one of these dogs. The dogs need a very strong alpha person for these dogs to thrive ❤️
Ok I was gonna keep my mouth shut but really. First of all those pants look like the dogs used them to play tug of war and then washed to death and and the sweater my God, it looks like it could stand up on it's own.
Fantastic! Impressive how you keep the leashes from tangling as they romp! You two humans are so calm and tuned into the dogs, even when they begin to assert themselves. This is how we should all behave with our canines and each other😎👍👍
Love this! I’ve recently put Cane Corso on the top of my wish dog list and it’s great to see how willful they can be. Great for independence once they are fully trained.
im definitely taking notes im waiting for my 7week old cane corso to be shipped to my home. love how midnight i mean preacher handled that dog barking that you guys past twice totally over it lol.
Thank you so much for this video..really great work that you do! That breed is so awesome and beautiful. I met one for the first time in December. He was on an plane as an emotional support dog!
Been watching your channel for a while. Love your videos! You have an amazing pack and skills. Can't wait to see your work shine in the temporary resident.😄😆
Good work the whole dynamic works. To be honest I won't leave my dog with anyone but my wife but I'd let you babysit if needed, the whole family are experienced
Omg, I had only watched videos in which you're always behind the camera, had never seen your face and wow you're gorgeous❤️ congrats on the Channel, I absolutely love your work
Hey Rachel! I have a question for you. If you want/can maybe do a video showing how to pick a puppy that is right for a person if it matters. I assume that a more dominant puppy would not be ideal for a new dog owner but i could be wrong. Just a thought :) have a great evening! :)
From what I understand they are known for their dominance and at times stubbornness. For sure I would never suggest this dog for a first time dog owner because you can't afford to not have control over 120 lbs of power.
If they are novice owners, I wonder why they got a pup that is this dominant and excitable? Seems to me they might have been better off with a more submissive, more laid back guy or gal. I realize that's water under the bridge at this point, but assuming they got the pup from a responsible breeder, perhaps the breeder didn't do a great job of making a match here.
Yes you are all correct, but Rachel it is good advise, why make it easy for the crazies.... I would love for you to train my abruman bully. If I get a corso I would want a preacher pup
I'm really happy that the owner is comfortable enough with you to come to you when they're having trouble with training. Bottom line is you want a well behaved 80- 100 + pound dog in the end! That's really what matters, and it's great that they're coming back to you. I wish you would consider keeping your pups a bit longer then 8 weeks as I think they would benefit from your pack environment (Although it would be slightly chaotic for you) they could use an extra two weeks with the pack laying down the law and teaching them social skills
I like your control big powerful dog looks up and listen Preacher is a top dog.I see so many people here in the UK with no control over their dogs. Jumping up at people pulling their owners along.
The choke chain part is unnessiary especially when you can't keep up with making sure the placement is right. The more the choke chains are low on the dogs neck and they pull it's causing damage I heard them choking a little. I literally trained my dog not to pull with a standard harness and she was a bad puller before but I found a good technique to stop it. Each time the dog pulls immediately turn in the other direction quickly to get his attention on you.
I was wondering this also. I have no experience with owning dogs but I grew up with an alsatian. I was always told choke chains were advised against for young puppies? I understand these are obv strong dogs but I'm still curious. I've a lifetime experience with training horses though and the gentler aids you can give to start with, the more sensitive they will stay. I'd love to hear her thoughts on this x
came here from upstate canine academy on recommendation of youtube and you both talk about the same thing which i think is the right way to go about. Its really nice to see
