Or as a certain Mark Wildman basically always points out: when in doubt do volumecycles. 🤗

Looking forward to bodyweight training. I've been using the recommended routine of r/bodyweightfitness in the past but it takes a lot of time. I'm not really satisfied with my own bodyweight program right now. Especially since there are a lot of movements that require good mobility and strength that I could do a few years back (like proper dive bomber push ups) but can't do anymore. Integrating mobility and strength is something that's hard for me in a limited amount of time.

My training program has been the following the past two months: M - KB Swings Light, KB C&P Heavy T - KB Squats Light, KB TGU Heavy W - Rest T - KB Swings Heavy, KB C&P Light F - KB Squats Heavy, KB TGU Light Sat/Sun - Rest I'm definitely seeing good results and I'm becoming more "attractive." Though the slam ball program really has me curious. I'm contemplating adding a slam ball program to the mix. However, I want to stay with four days of training per week for now. So, I'm either going to drop the KB Squats and TGU workouts and replace with slam balls, or alternate between KB Squats/TGU and slam balls on a weekly basis. I guess either way is good since there is a good amount of squatting movements with either program. I just need to decide. Any thoughts?

So for beginning TUT, would we treat it like volume cycles, where we start a lower time(ex. 5 minutes with 16kg) and just add 30 sec or 1 minute each week until we hit 30 minutes?
@michaelsenft3608
@michaelsenft3608 2 года назад
Sorry - second comment: Mark, you recommended a TUT program for continuous TGU’s about a year ago. I got great results with a relatively light 20kg bell by starting 10 minutes and working up to 15 minutes. Brutal and really improved my movement. Switch hands on each rep with swing. Great great protocol

Mark, would you do a TUT for the kettlebell metabolic conditioning series you recently went over as a finisher for a workout? Let's say my programs for the day happen to be relatively easy and I have some gas in the tank still. I could add 5-10 more minutes of a KB circuit with a light weight. Thoughts?

Mark I just purchased the nerd math swing and C&P programs. Looking at the data entry sheet for clean & press program they dont alternate with light/heavy weights. So how would I incorporate heavy light days if im following the perfect path from the data entry sheet? I would prefer just 1 complexity at this time. Do I just follow two different perfect paths with a light and heavy weight?

Having a blind moment here. Does prettiness = muscle definition?
@GrantGardner80
@GrantGardner80 2 года назад
Based on stuff talked about in the past I think it's both definition and size. The other video he talked about how explosive power type movements tend to build size and size of particular muscle groups is generally associated with attractiveness. Further defining those muscle groups can then result in further attractiveness gains, I think.
@JN-no4ot
@JN-no4ot 2 года назад
I recall Mark referencing a "Herculean physique" in the first attractiveness video. So yes, that is a body with muscle definition.

Master I know and understand your protocols, I bought several programs. What do you think of the 1 set to muscular failure idea? Example, only 1 set of kettlebell squat 10-12 reps to muscular failure
@orestisnalmpantis
@orestisnalmpantis 2 года назад
And I know you will say it might be dangerous for beginners so , you begin with an easy variation and you do for example 1 set of 25 reps to muscular failure.
@MarkWildman

I think it’s a fine idea. Advanced athletes do finishers a lot

"you were isolating muscles instead of integrating muscles, you need to integrate muscles if you want to be a healthy person it is not your quads that need to be strong or hamstrings that need to be strong it is the movement pattern that needs to be strong because everything in the world is based on movement patterns." thats wisdom right there.. everything in the west is so broken down into its component parts and not wholistic.. i love that quote.. training the whole body system as a single unit not this dumb vain arrogant scientism that breaks everything down into souless material pieces..

Do you reckon doing ballet as a guy, with a combination of kettlebells and clubbells will add to this? I understand it's a vague question and depends on the type of kettlebell and clubbell exercises, question is more do you think ballet is a good enough workout to train other muscles etc?

@@hazelmaines2040 Yeah I'm doing Barre once a week with beginners technique on the other day then I have a kettlebell, body weight, clubbell workout.
@dpad2480
@dpad2480 2 года назад
As a guy who has done both barre and ballet they are vastly vastly different. Barre is way stripped down and whilst will have an effect it does not in anyway replicate the “ballet body effect.” Broadly ballet dancers look and perform the way they do because they do it full time for decades massive time under tension for years training six days a week for hours a day. However what ballet brings for a casual practitioner that barre doesn’t aside from the creative/musicality and quality of movement is the jumps and the work on the toes both at the barre and off the barre. This vastly improved ur asthetics and athletic potential. Balancing and moving and jumping across the floor without the barre is far more difficult but has a far stronger effect on the body. You will not get full on ballet legs doing three classes a week but u will improve your athletic quality far beyond barre and help ur core and balance and jumping explosiveness and movement quality . If u can pick between both do ballet. However if u are overweight lose the weight before u do ballet as the jumps will shred your knees, u won’t get the height u need and will get injured. As a bonus ballet is actually fun, the most fun and hardest thing I have ever done. You are better off doing Pilates rather that barre, do ballet and add ur clubs and kettlebells etc
