This is the best bird youtube channel in the hisory of bird youtube channels! I dont even have a bird but im gonna wach all the vids you have in case i get one :P
Super easy your tutorials are! This one, Ares picked it up in 5 quick 3-5 min sessions. Yesterdays and today's! Thanks again for sharing your time with us! In our opinion, it was definitely worth it!
I loved this trick! Sky has done a little trick training before but I think I'm gonna try a few other tricks before we learn this one. Your videos are so simple and easy to follow! I hope you make more!
Hey! It's Stomatium from tumblr! I love this and I'll definitely be giving it a try as my young clipped sennie gets his feathers and his flight back. Your videos are so much fun to watch! A little feedback, some quiet background music might help boost the ear-friendliness of the audio while you're talking! There are a lot of resources online for royalty-free music and ambiance, and it would really bring it a long way. Thanks so much for the tutorial, man!
thanks for the good tutorial! do you think do I need to adjust the distance a little far for a conure because of their bigger wing than Mia? I am training my conure this tutorial and just seeing her wings are quite heavier than Mia in the similiar distance with your video.
Well, I'm impressed! And Im so excited to get this one downpat once my birdies wings grow bk. Til then, he's learning lots of on the ground and perch related tricks.
Awesome my conures wings finally have grown back enough for his flight training activities to go full swing! His skills at flying, turning on the spot and changing course, have been improving daily. We just did our first session of this one! Yay!! Finally!
Question for you... I'm teaching my parrotlet this trick. He's got the first step down. When I start to incline my hand he wants to land on the side of my fingers instead of on my palm. I can see why he is confused because that's how he normally lands on my hand. How do I communicate that I want him to continue landing on the palm of my hand?
Hi I Love your videos they are the best, keep up the good work. Just have one question for you I have two parrotlets who are about six weeks old. In your videos I see that when your teaching one parrotlet the other one also sitting on the perch and is not bothered about mai listen to you.But my parroted will not listen when their together. Please advise and many thanks keep up the work
Hey I’m trying to teach my budgie this but I’ve only taught her step up. What’s the best trick I should start with before I go onto something I little bit more difficult like this?
JustHette I'd experiment with different treats and seeds, and see what she likes best. I'd use something that's easily obtainable so that you can reward them more often!
If your bird love it, its perfectly fine as a treat. The only thing is make sure that it doesnt have any other way to get it than training, bso its extra super special for it
What I don’t understand is, my birb takes sooo long when she eats a seed, so she forgets what happened, she forgets that she got a treat because she did something right, because I have to wait so long for her to finish it :/ Can anyone help?
Thanks to you I’ve learned so much about these birds so I got one from a store and need a lot more help than what I needed with my cockatiel😅🙏🏻please help me🙏🏻🥺
Just eh.. one simple question. Is this clicker thing a special... "train your bird product", or should I search for it online instead of in some local pet store? :0
Most pet stores usually sell them. It's used for training dogs too. Or you don't have to use a clicker at all, we use a bridge word - just it has to be different for every single pet you're training. We use "nice" for one and "good bird" for the other. When they hear it they know they did it right and get a treat. Clicker is though a bit easier, because you can more specifically tell the animal, what is what you want. Saying a word is sometimes harder and they catch up more slowly than with a clicker.
@@phoeline A clicker isolates the exact instant they did the right thing. Otherwise, they will be confused about what you want. A click with your tongue works though! You can also get a clicker on amazon, the dog one is what almost everyone uses.
Hi:) i have a lineolated parakeet and there is no small training treat he likes, i have tried many but he just wont😂 i was wondering what type of treat you use or if anyone in the comments knows it would help me alot:) thx
The advantage of a clicker is consistency, it always makes the same sound at the same volume which makes things less confusing for the bird. Also it only requires one finger, allowing you to hold a treat and the clicker in the same hand. They can be found in most pet stores as they're used in dog training for the same reasons
thelunarguy As a bridge device. You can train you bird to know that when you click the clicker, it did something right so it isn't confused on why it is getting a treat.
