The Geelong line is a regional rail service which links the capital of Victoria, Melbourne, to the south-western regions of Geelong and Warrnambool. The railway opened in 1857 and spans 81km (50.3 mi) and carries interstate passenger and freight trains over standard and broad gauge tracks.
