With the middle of May 2021 being set to be the last days of operation for East Midland Railways HST fleet before retirement, a trip was made to Bedford in order to capture the 2 workings operating to St Pancras from Leeds. 43102 (holder of the world speed record for a diesel train) and 43274 have been painted into special liveries for the final weeks and are seen working together.
Other units were observed from EMR, Thameslink and London North western Railway (LNWR), as well as a collection of heavy freights from the various terminals in the area.
