If you ever want a good time trainspotting at Crewe i recommend going to the Crewe heritage centre, where there are fabulous spots for trainspotting besides the track.
If I ever travel to the UK, especially to railfan, Crewe will be very high on my list! Love the variety and clickety-clack of the many trains running over the junctions and switchbacks.
We live in Alsager (between Crewe & Stoke) we often take our grandson Alfie a train fanatic to Crewe just to stay on the platforms for a couple of hours, he loves it. His dad also takes him to the Crewe Heritage Centre regularly where they are members. Great video, thanks and good spotting,, cheers Tony.

Great video...that used to be my favourite place in the 1980’s at Crewe...the north end of Platform 6 😎👍🏽🎉 Lovely to see that 86 on platform 6...just like the good old days, although 86259 will always be “Peter Pan” to us oldies...not “Less Ross” 🤔🤣👍🏽
It’s a great place, been here many times but just never filmed! I had to go when the charters were coming through, without a special or two it just wouldn’t seem right! I could have got more specials on a weekday but I’ve been stuck with weekends recently. Mr Ross is also sitting in the second mans seat as well 😃 It’s an extremely well looked after machine for its age.
@@StarlifeStudios yes it always adds to the occasion to see a few special excursions 😀👍🏽 The 86’s were solid, reliable machines for decades on the WCML then a few went over to the GEML when it first got electrified to Ipswich then Norwich in 1985/86 🙂 I remember travelling home from Scotland on the Glasgow/Edinburgh to Bristol overnight sleeper in the early months of 1988...it was freezing in Scotland and snowing when both the Glasgow and Edinburgh portions joined at Carstairs. 86256 “Pebble Mill” made light work of the adverse weather and Shap and Beattock summits plus its 16 coaches and whisked us to Birmingham New Street in style. The frozen 86 gave way to a class 47 for the run down to Bristol, I think it was a47555 “The commonwealth Spirit?” - great BR days 😎👍🏽
Thanks Arnold, I like the station but its physically falling apart, some of the canopies have been dismantled and scafolding in holding the footbridge up! Shame really because its largely unchanged since the 1970s.

You could look at the trains at speed as a bit of a teaser, if the individual video hasn’t appeared yet, it will soon 😃 However, Northallerton was just a quick visit to get some clips so that won’t be a full video 😞
Is Transport for Wales going to retain the Class 175 Coradia DMUs as they are to be replaced by the Class 197 Civity DMUs. Which are coming into service either at the end of this year or in the beginning of next year (2022). And the TfW Class 150 and Class 153 DMUs also to be replaced by new trains in the next several years.
Andrew, I’m honestly not sure about the 175s. I saw a plan for rolling stock cascade about 4 months ago which showed the 175s were to all go but then again the 170s were never supposed to leave. As far as the plan is concerned all sprinters will be replaced.
Good Question! 153318 is a former GWR 153 which was transferred to EMT after being surplus to requirements. When EMR acquired the 170s, they were moved to TfW where it is expected to not be refurbished and will be replaced by incoming 197s.
Funny you should mention that, I have attempted to get a 360 Degree Camera for stations through sponsorship but have so far been unsucessful but I will keep at it. London bridge with a 360 would be awesome 😃 A drone would be awesome as well!
Yep and I have to use them on my thumbnails. The present Avanti livery just blends right into the background and this is exactly why I used white ones on my Wolverton video.
