Hello Everyone! Be sure to check out the Christmas themed outro to this video at 8:35! If this is the last video you see before Christmas, have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for watching.
Deceptively difficult place to film because of the curves either side of the station and some of the conditions you endured there! Great to the new units at speed 👍
It was, the weather was both nice and punishing. Some of the clips almost look like it was filmed on a different day! I like the sounds of the STADLERs at speed, very Eurostar esk.
Your so kind TransportElectrics! I really do try to put as much love as I can into this RU-vid channel and despite the challenges this year, we are nearing 3K! #Starto3K
@@StarlifeStudios Yes! That's true however I have never travelled by train in the UK, because I live in Belgium. But I have used the Eurostar train to London for a weekend in 2014. Then, I have travelled by Class 373, while Class 374 did not exist then.
Ahh I see. I have never traveled on a Eurostar so you have traveled on something I havent! Stadler FLIRTs are much more common in mainland Europe than the UK but its nice to see their take on the UK market.
Yes that's right, we are limited because of older bridges and trackside structures. Even HS2 trains will be limited by it despite it being a 'New' railway. Great to speak to you again Harshan, I haven't seen you for a while. :)
Hi David, I completely agree, the Stadlers sound awesome at speed. I've got an entire section dedicated the Great Eastern in my trains at Speed Video. Thank you for your comment 😀
Hi James! I’m planning to go to Southend Vic and Southminster once the 720s start to replace the 321s, there will be more variety in the video then. Great suggestion, thank you.
@@arnoldspottingvideos5269 I think the 745s are some of the best new intercity trains to operate in the UK for years. They are completely different experience to many other operators at a time when Hitachi IEPs seem to be taking over.
A nice little railway station but with short platforms and only trains operating the Ipswich-Cambridge & Peterborough services can serve Needham Market. Whilst freight trains and London Liverpool Street-Norwich trains passes through. Never been to Needham Market.
This is the first time I've been to Needham Market. I was actually planning on visiting Stowmarket, although I wanted somewhere the 745/755s didn't stop. Its a lovely little village with a pub and not far from Ipswich. All round warm vibes :)
@@StarlifeStudios I wonder if Greater Anglia and Network Rail could possibly extend the platforms at Needham Market to allow 5-Car, 10-Car and 12-Car trains to stop at Needham Market if necessary. But don’t think it would happen. With Ipswich and Stowmarket stations that have longer platforms.
Great video mate. Brilliant crossovers I didn't expect that 745005 pass at the same time as the dusty bins and I thought the Ipswich to Peterborough shouldn't stop at Needham Market but it does ❓
I believe the IPS-PBO services stop around every 2 hours, but, I'm not 100% sure about that. I could see both the 321 and 745 approaching before I started recording, fortunately, I was facing the right way for it to form into a good crossover! Thanks Arnold :)
Great video as always 😎👍🏽🎉 weather not so good there? 💦 I see there are still 745/1’s on Norwich services with no 1st class offering? That is poor by Anglia...they need to sort that out 🤔👍🏽
I wondered where you were EJC! Your comment got held for review for some reason.. Weather had been trying to rain for most of the day but they do need to sort out the 745s. I only traveled standard whilst in Anglia so it didnt affect me :). Also, the buffet is so nice to see on InterCity stock
@@StarlifeStudios held for review? I wonder why? 🤔 most odd. Yes its refreshing to see a new train with a buffet 😊👍🏽 Here on the GWML we have to endure the IEP with its hard seats and no buffet 😢😖 The HST on the GWML was a far superior customer experience than what we have now. Even the timings are a con when they claimed to save 15 mins off a journey between London and Cardiff. I have a 1987 timetable here when the HST was doing the same journey just as quick as the IEP today.
Yes, I have some words (like my real name etc) on a filter but it flagged your post as 'dangerous'... no matter, I've added you to my 'always approve' list. I miss the HSTs on Great Western, I regret not traveling on them more before they went..
@@StarlifeStudios dangerous? 😂😂 Daft system..I wonder why it did that? Its never happened before? 🤔 Everybody is being watched/censored now more than ever, especially if there are any adverse comments made about this virus or vaccination 😷👍🏽 Yes bring back the HST’s all is forgiven 😂😂👍🏽🎉🎉
Hi Lotrd Everything, Shapes on the end of units are not that uncommon, the new class 195s also have circles on one end. In this case, triangles help staff identify where the disabled area is in the train formation.
Craigy, I will put it on the list. I'm working on a few of the other ones you suggested too (like Brighton and Plymouth) although this tier system is making things very difficult!
