Finally the moment has come, since I've been away from traveling and been at a station for 5 months and been filming on railway bridges in my local area. And with Lockdown measures are been eased, it was time for me to return back on the railway and doing Trains at video.
To kick things off I returned back to Portsmouth & Southsea. There has been a bit of changes since my last visit back in October. Southern services most Southern services terminates at Portsmouth & Southsea Platform 3 lower level, which Southern are testing due to turnover, to reduce delay as Southern doesn’t get a lot of stopover time at Harbour. So because of this that means London Victoria services terminates at lower level on Platform 3 for nearly throughout the day, expect 1 odd services to Portsmouth Harbour and London Victoria in the afternoon. And Brighton service run to Portsmouth Harbour in early morning at 06:19 and then terminates at lower level from 07:25 until 10:23, and then mostly run services run to Portsmouth Harbour for most of the day until after 15:30, and then terminates at lower level from 16:00 until 21:30, and then back running services to Harbour for rest of the late evening.
Also the station is undergoing Improvement works to 1876 Victorian Landport Viaduct that supports 2 Platforms upper level is been strengthened. So apologies if there is some noise distortion, and which also explains the dust of cloud coming from under the tracks inside the BR canpey!
Portsmouth & Southsea is again fun station to be at. Definitely has some character to it. Done 4 hours of filming, and got a lot of different variety of trains.
Trains that are featured in this video are South Western Railway 444, 450. Southern 377, 313. GWR 158, 165, 166.
It's great to be back filming at train station again as I've been longing to come back.
