Norfolk Southern Trains Using CSX Tracks At The Interchange In Downtown. Plenty Of Horn At My Favorite Railroad Crossings. Unit Trains And Mixed Freights Including Canadian National Power. Close Look At Railroad Radio With Audio And A High Rail Truck Passes.
We got some big storms in Ohio and my power has been out since Friday afternoon so we check out some summer videos that I haven't posted yet. These trains are in the city of Hamilton, Ohio, USA. The day that I filmed this it was very windy but no where near as windy as the storms from Hurricane Helene that made it all the way up to Ohio. We lost our power when I was making this video. I had just started to download it when a tree hit the side of my house and the power went out. I saw the branches sliding along the windows as it fell while I was at the computer. While you are watching this I will be working a chain saw.
Wait a minute. I almost forgot to mention that the guy saying "Wait There's More" is my friend Matt. His channel is Railfan Depot Cincinnati. He has some good stuff so check out his channel also.

Guess in the 70s and 80s Chesapeake and Ohio (chessie system) share their lines with Norfolk and Western back then cuz this ain't the first time this kept happened

Petty point but.. You keep calling the thing in Hamilton an interchange. Back when I worked for the UP that was called a junction. An interchange was where responsibility for the cars transferred from one RR to another which isn't happening here.

Hey JT you need to go by a truck stop and get a DOT rules and regulations book it's got a part in it for haz mat and there will be pictures of the placards and the numbers and it tells you what the chemicals are

Tann you for another railfanning in Hamilton, Ohio, Jaw Tooth! You did not indicate when you took this video in your description of the video. It appears to me that you captured these trains a couple of months before you uploaded this video. My reason for saying this is that I see the blue paper plant in this video. That building burned down sometime in July or Augst 2024. I enjoyed watching this video! (Posted 29 September 2024 at 1358/ CDT.)

Can those incorrectly operating gates be reported by calling the number on the sign? It is dangerous because it might make people complacent and cause someone to assume they won't go back up quickly after the train passes and possibly lead to someone being hit by an unseen train from the opposite direction.

Storms, hurricanes etc have been destructive forever and can always cause power outages but that’s no excuse for governments obsession with closing coal-fired power plants. This just makes a bad situation worse! As Jaw Tooth says: “Coal keeps the lights on”.

Jaw Tooth -- On the Canal Ridge(?), you mention not being able to film The Cardinal because it runs there only at night. I suggest you get in touch with amateur astronomer who could figure out a perfect full moon night to see it. It would make a fabulous shot!

Most railroads if you are considered going west No. 2 is the track on the right. On intermediate signals with numbers there will be a decimal 1 or 2 after the milepost number.
