An absolutely fantastic evening spent at Welwyn Garden City on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from VTEC, Grand Central, First Hull Trains and Govia Great Northern.
Welwyn Garden City is an absolutely brilliant station to film at as your never short of finding something to film. This is definitely a station that I will be coming back to and probably again in the rush hour period as I managed to catch a beat variety with the different units that Govia Great Northern use: 313, 317, 321 and 365 units are all seen throughout the course of this film as well as 225 and HST sets from Virgin Trains East Coast.
I would really recommend this station to anyone who wants to pass the time and get some great shots. Some of the units that you'll see during this film are very scruffy from where Govia Great Northern have erased the First Capital Connect names from the sides of the trains, the 313 units displaying this more than anything.
At some point during this video I say that one of the 313 units on an ECS movement was for Abellio Greater Anglia, I have got no idea why I said that but the you go, I think it may have been because a couple of people behind me were talking about them.
I hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I did filming it. My next 4 films will finish off my series from the East Coast Mainline. These will be: Hatfield, Brookmans Park, Potters Bar and finally Hadley Wood.
The East Coast Mainline has been excellent so far and I'm really looking forward to seeing what these final 4 stations have to offer.
