Youd never believe now looking at Thornaby thst once it was the biggest marshalling yard in Europe

Knottingley was one of the depots I always wanted to visit .class 47's were seen frequently around the network accept for those allocated to Knottingley They were a used exclusively on MGR workings to Eggborough power station and were fitted with slow running gear
