Trains on the station of Aachen Hbf on the 14th of June 2021. We see a big variety of trains on the station. Regional Expresses, the Rhein-Ruhr Xpress, ICE, Regionalbahn and freight trains pass this station. You can reach Aachen Hbf with your dutch OV-chipkaart (public transport chipcard) from Maastricht and Heerlen. Once per hour this train will continue into Germany, connecting the Dutch places with the German City. Enjoy!

Mooie spot en voordeel van Aachen: je kunt er via Maastricht/Heerlen komen met een Nederlandse OV kaart ook😝

Aachen is definitely a place I want to visit next time I get the chance to come back to the Netherlands, especially since I'd be able to ride those lovely sounding LIMAX FLIRT 3s :) Also 11:25 I had no idea NMBS ran to Aachen too! That's just making it even more tempting!!!

Its certainly a nice ride to do and your public transport chipcard is valid in this train as well! So its easy too. Aachen is a compact but very busy little station. The Belgium Trains you see in the picture will be going soon as DB Netze is planning on removing the ability to switch the overhead catenary to 3000V instead of the regular German 15kV. So if you want to see the old Belgian 'Klassiekjes' (Classic Ones) in Aachen, you should not wait too long.
