Trains Running on the Layout 

Its always such a pleasure to see a new Everard Junction video pop up on your recommended/notifications.

Being of a certain vintage myself, i dont see models, i see my history. Nice job!

In a short space I can see Hayes ,wormwood scrubs and Ladbroke Grove area ,I’m from west London and you’ve captured the atmosphere nicely ,now there’s 25kv who would of thought the western going electric 👍🏻😊😊

Great to get a new update, even if it was just to admire your splendid views around the layout, which I think was great fun simply because it gives one time to reflect on how far your layout has developed and a timely reminder as one remembers how each of the areas were created 👍 Those houses are coming along a treat and I look forward to seeing the progress on them. Have there been no more developments at the other end as I couldn’t help notice the station area didn’t get much of a look in! 😅 Cheers fella, hope the Granada is still running sweetly 😎🍻

Always a treat to watch a running session video on the layout. This both inspires me to make my own once I will be able to, and also helps me to wait patiently for my health to get better and finally move in a disabled adapted home where I will have space for my layout(s) ptojects as well as an adapted workshop (I am actually unable to walk , and can't sit more than 10 minutes at a time or even stand with crutches for more than 30 seconds due to a bad back injury). Can't wait to see the video on the terraces houses and the other building projects.

Great stuff. Only thing I had a gripe about on your last layout, was the lack of a proper backdrop. Now you have a backdrop. Nothing left to gripe about. I'll never reach the level you work on. We all have been following the creation and the recreation of EJ over the years .... Its kind of weird , but watching all of the different projects on RU-vid and remembering all the hard work that you put into this layout. I feel a bit of pride and satisfaction...

4:29 That old Volvo 245 is in serious need for some new shock absorbers! 😂 and great video. My dad was a huge model train enthusiast and he had a huge model railway landscape that filled the whole basement of my parents house - it took him many years to build it. Unfortunately he had to sell it all when he went to a retirement home after my mom passed away.

Your loco and rolling stock weathering is amongst the best I've seen, and the close coupled HST looks particularly good!

Thanks for this. The night time footage with the carriage lights reflecting on the adjacent tracks was very evocative, reminded me of travelling home on the Liverpool Street line in wintertime.

One can only dream of having a layout like this one. Being a pensioner I have to make do with a big loop and sidings on the carpet..a la Sams Trains.. in the spare bedroom. Still it keeps me going. Great video.

Love the detail on this layout.

Awesome running session. Fantastic layout. So good to watch a running session without any sound chips in the locos, I personally detest them. Thank you for not following that route, and simply hearing the "natural" sounds of brilliant layout. Love the attention to detail, scrapyard, canal, and the recently built branch line!

Lovely stuff - you've a great looking, atmospheric layout which shows people like me what can be done with some imagination, planning and graft. The scrap yard looks fantastic now and having moving cars adds another dimension to the layout, although the wonky wheels/axels make it look like the owner has been sold a lemon by Arthur Daily. lol. Not sure you can do much about that unless there are any 00 scale vehicles that are designed to be more than just static models. Anyway thanks for another inspiring upload.

So much fantastic detail. Brilliant. My one tip, from a very inferior position, would be to avoid filming passenger trains from an angle where the lack of corridor connections is obvious. The 3/4 shots hide this issue. I am nowhere near this level, but i strive to be....one day.

Always great to see a new video. Would love to see the branch have a slightly shorter DMU. Something common around the Thames Valley branches (Marlow in particular) was a 121 Bubble paired with a DTS trailer. In the NSE years, it wasn't uncommon for a 101 2-car or even and 101+121 hybrid.

When ever you are doing a big project like this, it's important to keep in mine why you started it: to see model trains run! Plus, you get a good view of how your scenery is going to look with trains running through it. Now is the time to make sure everything so far works, and if you decide to make some changes it won't involve rebuilding whole sections of the layout. Or I should say, it shouldn't involve whole sections because I once removed an entire peninsula on a former layout because it made walking around it a pain in the butt.

this is superb! very inspirational, ive ground to a halt with my N Gauge layout , this has given me a kick in the pants to go and get stuck in again, excellent as always

Absolutely ruddy marvellous, you have put it all in. There are drivers in the cabs and passengers in the trains, often as ex-train crew i get disheartened when modellers just paint windows black so they don't have to bother. That is the point, though, you can be bothered. It looks great. The typical BR mix of varied coaching stock in a mish mash of liveries. Nice to see an HST in there, they have just been retired. I can also remember a pretty bad fire caused by squirrels chewing through the wooden cable troughing and causing all the relays at the ECO to blow out putting a charge down the cabling and setting it all ablaze. Now been replaced with the all too familiar concrete ones, which still get broken and left awry. I thought from the title you would explain what all the different stock were?
